Deadline is reporting SHOCKING news that CW has picked up the CBS based Sarah Michelle Gellar pilot to series!

The best thing for it I guess. At least it has a chance to last more than one season.

That exactly what I was thinking. As much as I wanted to see this show, I didn't see it surviving past episode 13 on CBS, even on fridays.


Why is this shocking news?
Personally I think it's shocking because insider reports have said the pilot has been dead for a few weeks - and that the pilot was developed for CBS, on a CBS budget, and it went to the CW.

I wonder what this means for the CW pilots...

Because it was developed for CBS and CW picked it up. They have not picked up Network scraps in years (UPN picked up a few from WB like Buffy and Roswell)....if ever.

Shows the CW is willing to take a chance at going mainstream.

Nope, they have already said no. Too expensive for their network.

I've always liked Sarah Michelle Gellar. The premise for this series sounds interesting.

Interesting. It also has Nestor (Richard from LOST). I think he and SMG would be great together on-screen. The mob stuff sounds cool.
