My biggest issue is that they allowed someone like her on the show. She's already been more successful than the majority of the winners of these shows. She's had a record deal. She's toured with Fallout Boy and others. She's had a record released (with her band). She STARTED the show with 200k twitter followers (and doesn't even count her boyfriend's 200k+ twitter followers for his crappy band). I like these shows for giving unknowns a chance at success, not for people to reboot their careers.

This been is something they've done from season one.

Javier Colon - From 2002 to 2006, he had 2 albums released on Capitol Records. His debut solo single in 2003 hit the Billboard Hot 100.

Dia Frampton - Her group Meg and Dia were on 2 Warped Tours and had a deal with Warner Bros.

The Thompson Sisters - Won the American Idol spinoff show American Juniors (there were 3 other winners, they formed a group) and had an album put out as that group on a major label.

Raquel Castro - Played Ben Affleck and J-Lo's daughter in the Kevin Smith film Jersey Girl.

Juliet Simms - Her band Automatic Loveletter released albums on both Epic and RCA, and were also featured on the Warped Tour.

Jesse Campbell - Released an album on Capitol Records in 1995 which charted on the Billboard R&B Albums chart.

Terry McDermott - His band Driveblind had 2 albums released under Geffen Records.

Granted, Cassadee is probably the biggest 'name' of these artists going in, and her band's successes were the most recent. But she's far from the only one to have prior major label deals and exposure. Hell, Cupid tried out this season with his own Cupid Shuffle song, and that stupid song is a far bigger hit than anything Hey Monday ever put out.

^They also had that one chick who got kicked off of American Idol for doing internet porn and Jordis from Rockstar INXS.

Holy mackeral, Trevin's performance of Wind Beneath My Wings was just about the worst thing I've heard on The Voice in a month. That was horrific. He was just painfully flat. Ouch.

Nicholas was solid. Didn't blow me away, but he was solid.

Cassaddee was fine. I've never heard that song before, and don't care if I hear it again.

Terry was good. I love the Beatles, and hate when people cover them, but I didn't hate that.

No one blew me away tonight, but I felt Trevin was easily the worst. Just dreadful. Hopefully he's going home tomorrow.

Please send Trevin home. :bye:

Any of the others are fine.. Nicholas is the sentimental favorite, but I really love Terry's voice. As the judges like to say, he sounds effortless.

I think Cassadee will win it all.

Without a doubt. If Vegas had betting on this I'm sure she'd be a 1:2 favorite.

She seems to be the favorite on iTunes.

The only real question is, who will she go up against in the finals?

My guess is Terry.

Re: The Voice -- Season 3 -- The Knockout Rounds/Live Shows

Well, if iTunes sales are any indication
Spoiler:
Trevin should be going home. The positions this morning:

Cassadee - 1
Terry - 3
Nicholas - 6
Trevin - 35

He's behind the others by a huge margin.

Granted, Melanie was above a few others last week and still managed to go home, so who knows.

Interesting that Cassadee seems to be less resistant to the country route week by week. I know she has brought up 'sticking to her pop-rock roots' or whatever several times in the past, but she seems to have softened that stance. I wonder of the continued sales of 'Over You' have changed her tune? Honestly I think she sounds better doing that style and the country fans seem to have taken a shine to her and they are a fiercely loyal bunch.

Dear Lord, those sappy ballads have done him in. Who wants to pay for those songs on Itunes?? One of the best voices and song choices have really done him in. WInd beneath my wings? ugh

It's the main reason I've never been able to get into him. He (or Cee-Lo) picks all these played-out diva songs that have been done to death on Idol, Voice, X-Factor, etc. I have to fast forward through everything he does. I mean, The Greatest Love of All??? Good lord, that's one of those songs I never want to hear again from anyone, ever. Whitney Houston could rise from the dead and offer to put on a zombie diva concert for me and I still wouldn't want to hear that damn song.

Modern country music is basically pop-rock anyway.

I was out after Amanda Brown got the boot. I enjoyed her performances the most even when they didn't work but at least she took risks, which I can respect. It's been Avril 2.0's to lose since the start and the only drama will be who takes 2nd place.

Same here. I passed this week and only watched a bit of the clip to see how bad Trevin really was.

I knew Trevin would do the overthetop played out diva song, Terry would do a remake of an 80s rock band, Nicholas would do some version like of Leon Russell Bill WIthers, and Cassadee would hit a note and put her arm straight up in the air and then everyone would gush about her.

Amanda Brown was unpredictable. Her "I cant see the Stars" was an amazing rendition of an unknown song, and then she turns around and did Whitesnake. She was the star imo.

Perhaps, but in a different way. It's more classic rock than the pop-punk style she seems to favor.

Re: The Voice -- Season 3 -- The Knockout Rounds/Live Shows

While I appreciate Terry's voice he seems to have no stage presence. The duet with Cassadee was awkward at best. And Trevin is yet another singer ill-served by his "coach." Why any contestant would pick CeeLo or Christina if given another option is beyond me. Nicholas is a gimmick pure and simple and has yet to show any range in what he can do. So that leaves Cassadee. I think she's come a long way from her early performances and Blake has picked the perfect songs for her to win this thing.

Congrats to Cassadee Pope for winning tonight. She's had it in the bag for the last few weeks. She's easily the most marketable among the 3. She will appeal to the Pop/Young Girls/Angry chick anthem crowd.

Is it just me or did Avril Lavigne totally looked like she didn't want to be there when she did the duet with Cassadee? She looked really uptight.

I did enjoy Kelly Clarkson's performance with Terry and Cassadee.

Blake is now a back to back winner. However, where the hell is Jermaine Paul's album?

I liked the promo for season 4 with Shakira and Usher.

FYI, season 4 will be 27 episodes and will run all the way until June 18th

Shakira and Usher will be the new coaches for this cycle along with Blake and Adam. Cee-Lo and X-Tina are taking the Spring off, but will return in the Fall.

Gave up on Idol, but I'm sticking with this one.

Unrelated to season 4, but if anyone here follows Cassadee Pope on Twitter or Facebook, she's already completed recording her album. No release date has been set yet. She said she recorded 2 albums worth of content and has to narrow it down.

I like her and would probably buy her album whenever it's released.

Also worth noting that Shakira was pregnant when she filmed these early audition episodes. She gave birth in January.

Loving the new judges. Shakira is completely engaged and I love her energy. Usher is a great addition, Adam is still my main man.

Love the talent on this show, just wonder why after why you never hear about the winners anymore.

Love the Voice. Ceelo later and good riddance Xtina.

Re: The Voice -- Season 4 Thread -- Now with Shakira & Usher

If you watch closely, near the end of the show after Adam gets Judith, when he finally sits down, it clearly looks like Shakira is mouthing 'motherf**ker', and maybe saying 'pissed' before that.

Re: The Voice -- Season 4 Thread -- Now with Shakira & Usher

That was a lot of fun. I think the new coaches fit great. I'm okay if CeeLo comes back, but would be perfectly happy if Christina stays away. Bring her back as a guest mentor or something.

Ready for night 2!
