I watched this early this morning shortly after it was posted.
Really short chapter this week, but solid interaction between Confessor and Priest. Kiefer and John Hurt are amazing interacting off each other.
I loved how Confessor turned the tables on Priest and forced him to reveal his deep dark secret.
And holy shit, about that twist at the end.
BTW, Brad Mirman said on his Twitter feed that The Confession will be posted on Netflix after it completes airing on Hulu in a 60 minute movie.
Next week is the 2 episode finale (chapeter 9 and 10)

Great chapter. This "show" is truly incredible. Watching the Priest recount his past was tough to sit through; I really believed John Hurt's portrayal of a man who regretted what he had done with every fiber of his being.
The twist was great and something I hadn't anticipated prior to this episode. But once the Priest started talking about his wife and son, it was pretty obvious what was going to happen. That isn't to say it wasn't extremely well done, just that it seemed the natural progression of the story at that point.
I can't wait for the final two chapters to see what happens after the Confessor's revelation.
---
I know there have been talks of a second season, but this seems like it should be a one-and-done sort of deal. I'd worry that in a second season they would be stretching the premise too thin or stray from what has made it so great so far.

I think after the show finishes, I might try to watch this on Netflix in it's 60 minute form to see how the show flows.

I had a feeling back around Episode Five that there was a Father/Son thing going on here, so the revelation didn't surprise me at all.
This is a great series. A very strong short series.
Can't wait for the finalé next week.

Before this episode, I didn't see the father/son twist coming at all. Can't wait to see how this ends.
John Hurt has done a great job with this.

Nicely stated. I agree.
The twist was fantastic.
