Though the end result was never in doubt, loved the journey of getting there. But after seeing "Soul Surfer this weekend, this episode's resolution was almost too much for this viewer...

Masters was always a temp fill-in for 13, but I do hope they bring her back for 2-parter next season, perhaps she'll be out of medicine, but her new educational pursuit presents House and company with a good case.

Clicking this and reading made me think of the kid on Malcolm in the Middle in the wheelchair and how he would have said it aloud.

That was actually a pretty good Masters-centric episode. So it appears she's giving up medicine because she feels like shit for compromising her ethics to save that girl's life. I liked how weird and neurotic the character was, especially with those awful clothes she wore. Overall it was a nice sendoff for her.

They actually wanted to keep her beyond her 13 episode commitment, but she agreed to star in a Pilot for FOX produced by House EP Katie Jacobs and Wire Producuer Ed Burns.

BTW, I didn't get the whole chicken thing between House and Wilson.

The jist was that she was such a "goodie two shoes" that the last bar she was at was in ballet class. Bar meaning the ballet bar in the dance studios as opposed to a bar where drinks are served. The other part of it was slamming how young the character is. Is she supposed to be 21 yet? Masters said something to the patient about being too young when she first had an opportunity to attend her first social or something.

It was a good episode though Wilson participating in that chicken thing was a little out of character to me (even though I would enjoy see MORE of THAT Wilson!). I'm bummed that 13's return means Masters is out. She really was an interesting foil to House and kept this season hopping.

Sad to see her go - tuned into this thinking this will be a "turning point" for her, and from this we can watch her grow / become a more confident team member...

I just read an interview linked on HOUSE's FB account that she is teaming up with exec Katie Jacobs and The Wire co-creator Ed Burns to be in a new show. Her contract was always for a 13 episode arc apparently.
