Army Wives -- "Movement to Contact" -- 3/20/11

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Claudia Joy butts heads with Chandler on her first day of work; Joan worries about appearances when Sara Elizabeth is accepted into an exclusive preschool; Roxy frets about her friendship with Pam when their kids get into a fight; Tanya gets nervous about the wedding when she realizes how little she knows about Jeremy.

Episode 3 of 13

I don't usually do Army Wives threads here since it's a very older female-centric serial drama (with the Army and War as the backdrop) and most of the posters here don't fall into that audience. But, I've been a loyal fan since Day 1 and absolutely love Kim Delaney and Catherine Bell.

Tonight's episode supposedly centers on the death on one of the ^^^ above wives husbands. Any guesses for those who watch? Looking forward to this episode alot. I have a feeling it's going be very sad.

I read a spoiler that supposedly:

Spoiler:
Chase, Pamela's Ex (the red head) and the father of her 2 kids, will die tonignt.

Spoiler:
I have a feeling it's going to be him as well... I also don't think it's going to happen until the end of the episode and we won't find out who it is until next week.
So.. this either frees Pam up to leave and take that 'unbelievable**' job offer in Atlanta or hop in bed w/ her partner by the end of the season.

** Rookie cop is offered a spot in Atlanta as a Detective (they don't have one of their own they can promote? They have no choice but to offer it to a rookie cop??? From another state?) .. She can't make up her mind if she wants to go .. that doesn't seem to be a problem, they're going to hold it for her.
Give me a break.

However,

Spoiler:
That whole scenario with the Atlanta PD was written because the Producers of Army Wives were proposing a spinoff starring Brigid Brannagh and Gabrielle Union from the backdoor pilot. But, Lifetime passed on it, so it's dead and Pamela is going to stay in South Carolina. She's not really an Army Wife anymore, but she's Roxy's best friend, so that's why the writer's keep her. I do think it's feasible for her to possibly start dating/sleeping with her partner by the end of the season.

I got into the show via the DVDs around the beginning of the third season and have honestly been stuck ever since. Tonight's episodes definitely looks like a whooper

It's a very addictive show. It's nice to see a show with strong and intelligent female leads.

Also, Netflix has posted the past 4 seasons on Instant Watch.

Solid episode as usual.

Does anyone who watches hate the new TJ? Fucking annoying brat. I sent a Tweet to Sally Pressman (Roxy) last night asking her why he was recast. Surprisingly she actually responded and said the kid's family moved to Atlanta so they had to recast.

to them holding off on who died until next week. Not surprised though.
