Ugh... too much Tyler

Morena Baccarin is on Kimmel right now. I am only familiar with her from this show (still haven't watched my Firefly DVDs yet), and its pretty cool to see her actually crack a smile and tell a few jokes.

Marcus is so...well alien.

Everything about him just works so well. His creepy, yet commanding and authoritative voice, his rigidness and glare, he's just very well portrayed here on this show.

The thing that I hate about this show (but for some reason I can't stop watching) is that all of the characters are still about as deep as a thimble.

The only character I remotely care about is Father Jack, followed (maybe) by Erica and Lisa.

Everyone else is so one dimensional.

But if it were any deeper, I probably wouldn't watch.

... but I still do.

It's funny - the show does that character really well. Probably because it is so very basic.

The most important takeaway from this episode is that Morena Baccarin can really rock a red evening gown. Damn.

But her acting is really one note and boring. Anyone can keep a straight face and say lines in a monotone voice.

I'm saying since these 'V's are supposed to be unemotional and odd, Marcus excels at that above the other aliens. So in this case it's a compliment.

Of course, plus she has hair in it. The short hair look just doesn't work on her when you see her as Inara.

I thought it was a fairly good episode even though they telegraphed the whole Ryan-turns bit; I do wonder if they'll kill him or if he turns completely or what next week.

I really liked the fact that Marcus got shot but is still alive in that perhaps he'll lose his memory like Joshua and become Fifth Column.

Re: "V" -- "Concordia" -- 2/08/11

What happened to the V surveillance technology we saw in the first episode? The V's had the telephone network wired, Erica & co shouldn't have been able to use cell phones to coordinate the job because they'd be recorded and discovered.

I wonder if the guy who is investigating Erica is a V.

Erica's meeting people in public places where she can be photographed is a serious breach of sound tradecraft.

The only reason I don't think he is, is because they made sure to show how they're old friends who went to the academy together, and he would be her third V partner.

Of course, that could be a red herring, since it's obvious Erica has been on their radar for quite some time.

I don't think he is though.
