That was a great start to the 2nd half of the season. Love that they didn't drag out Dean keeping shit from Sam again.
The new big bad looks like she could be fun.

Agree about them not dragging out the deception. I'm a bit mixed on the big bad. Too early to judge but my initial response was disappointment that they were going back to the big bad formula so quickly.
Dean pulling out the sword was a good gag. And there were the usual gags like "Being easy's pretty much all upside."

I really feel the quality of direction/cinematography for their actions sequences this year has dropped dramatically. That dragon fight scene was painful to watch.

at Dean trying to get out the Sword in the Stone and using the dynamite. Nice little gag.
Surprised they hit the reset button with Sam's memory after the soul got put back in. But, I'm also glad they didn't drag out the lies and now Sam knows the truth.
I'm interested in seeing where they go with this new arc with "Mother" or whatever she's called. I assume that young virgin was sacrificed to be her vessel. I don't mind having a long-term villain arc as this show pulls it off well IMO.

I liked this episode. The "Road So Far" montage set to "Back In The Saddle" was so good it almost makes me like Aerosmith (almost, that is). And even with Dean making fun of Middle Earth stuff, the broken sword had a pseudo Anduril quality to the way it looked that seemed somewhat intentional. And the Mother thing seemed like something from Beowulf. So nice to see they can still come up with good folklore to mine for the show.

Another kickass episode! Just needed more Cas. Interested to see all the horrible shit Soulless Sam did.
Picked this up at a gunshow over the weekend. Not the Pietta version used on the show, but still pretty close.
