Synopsis:

Spoiler:
When Jeff (Joel McHale) becomes concerned about "Fat Neil," (Charley Koontz) a fellow Greendale student who is a bit of a loner, Abed (Danny Pudi) proposes that they invite him to play a game of Dungeons and Dragons to boost his spirits and his confidence. But when Pierce (Chevy Chase) discovers that he's been excluded, he forces his way into the game and takes charge, disrupting their delicate plan.

Episode 15 of 24

 It's Thursday night once again. Can't wait. The show has been crazy good this season.

Favorite show on broadcast TV

(Breaking Bad has my overall vote for now.)

Funniest ep in a rather lackluster sophomore season. This ep actually rivaled Modern Warfare in awesomosity!

For me this season has fallen off considerably from the fresh and original debut. They try to hard now and for the most part the zaniness falls flat. I am not saying it sucks worse than life, but it is missing the verve and vigor from last season.

I need to learn not to drink when watching this show. I was drinking some ice tea when Chang first appeared. The tea won. I'm pretty sure this happened earlier this season too.

But wow, only this show could pull off an episode about D&D and actually make it awesome. I really hope this gets a third season!

Thanks to that scene, I have not laughed that hard, that long in quite a while.

I lost it when she held up three fingers and then four as she was describing what she was going to do. Also, Troy taking notes during that scene was awesome.

Pierce calling Chang Al Jolsen rotfl

Wow, well you're definitely in the minority. I think most people feel that this season has surpassed season one.

I too think this season has dropped in quality a little, it's a B+ compared to last seasons solid A. With that said tonight was amazing. I've never played D&D but my geek knowledge had me cracking up. An even better sign is my dad, who knows nothing about D&D, was cracking up throughout.

Advanced Bottle Episode.

Re: Community -- "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons" -- 2/03/11

That was a superior episode. I've never played D&D either, but it was a tribute to the writing that I got all of the jokes. Again, the cleverness of the show continues to surpass that of the typical network sitcom, even NBC's fairly strong standard of Thursday night shows. I hate to think that it's almost too clever for it's own good, and is bound to never gain a solid audience beyond a cult following. Hopefully, that will be enought to keep it on the air.

The best part of the episode for me along with the cast facial expressions to Annie's tale.
I never played D&D but was able to follow the episode.

Annie's bit was the highlight of the episode, but the opening narration was also great.

You guys do realize this is equivalent to complaining that a hot chick only let you have sex with her vagina right?

Amazing episode. This was one of those that completely boggled my mind it even got to be made. Everything about this show is just flat out fantastic.
