Re: David Milch Considering "Deadwood" Revival!
Actors are hired hands. They're typically the LEAST reliable source for telling us whether a project is really in the works or not. For how many years have Arrested Development actors been telling us that a movie is "just around the corner"? Don't get your hopes up until HBO or another production company makes an official announcement that funds and resources are actually going towards this thing.

Deadwood can be finished up in a single season, or probably even a movie.

I thought the sets were torn down. If that's the case then it'll gonna cost $$$$. So I'll believe it when I see the new showing. Until then its all BS!

Deadwood Cast Talks 10 Years Later
Interesting article with cast members giving recollections along with speculations about the possibility of returning for Deadwood features to finish the series. Just thought I'd share. Lots of interesting tidbits.

Remember when we were supposed to get a ROME movie too?
Never gonna happen...
In this case, though, it's Milch's own fault. He was interested more in JOHN FROM CINCINNATI than DEADWOOD, or this show could have/might have had a Season 4.

It was a good read, and I'm still hopeful for something in the future.
Incorrect. Milch was told that he could have both shows running on alternate schedules. He declined a 6 episode 4th season since he didn't want a reduced season, but he would have been able to do that after the first season of John from Cincinnati.

I never put together that W. Earl Brown was Mary's brother. That's hilarious.
I also think it's funny out of all of Brad Dourif's accomplishments listed, they appear to have forgotten that little project he was on....Lord of the something.

Also, Milch has said in other interviews that he wrote the Season 3 ender intending it to be the final episode. Milch wanted Deadwood to end far more than anyone else did. Of course, when his new show flopped, he wanted to save face.

Re: Deadwood Cast Talks 10 Years Later
Milch just filmed a new pilot for HBO with Brendan Gleason that got rejected. He then signed a new development deal with them. He's been with HBO 12 years and has had only 1 successful series. Not a good track record. He's 69 now, if his next show doesn't get picked up, he's probably done.

Re: Deadwood Cast Talks 10 Years Later
HBO would have given him a full season WITHOUT John From Cincinnati. Then they offered him the 6-episode season WITH John From Cincinnati. Milch rejected both, so HBO cancelled the show. Milch has been spinning the story since then as if HBO only wanted to do the 6-episode season, but HBO would have been happy postponing the Cincinnatti project to do more Deadwood.

I really enjoyed Luck, yet another show whose cancellation seems shrouded in conspiracy theories.
