I haven't seen the original, so I have no idea how faithful this is or what's to come, but it just seems like they have no idea what to do with Josh.

Aidan and Sally at least seem like their characters have a path where the writers know where they are going to go, though Aidan's so far appears to be the same as every other vampire show.

This was my favorite episode yet. I really like the performances and the way this show is filmed.

The vampire story is definitely the most interesting so far - loved that they showed that Aidan's "compelling" power carries risks, especially as he tries to be more human. I guess that's the whole underlying conflict of the show.

The ghost's story reminded me of Dead Like Me (in a good way).

The werewolf is underdeveloped so far, but I'm sure that will change.

Now that Sally has the ability to leave the house, I am really starting to the show. I have always liked good vs bad vampire stories, and I agree, Josh needs to get a grip what his abilities are when he's not going through the change.

I liked this episode too. I thought it was the best one so far.
