Here's a scene from tonight's episode (Anna vs Diana)

The season premiere improved on last season (not by much though, imo). Regardless, I'm likely in for the season to see where it goes.

At least this promo shot cut the diamond into a V, which kinda makes sense, but it still looks a little weird. Is that diamond in the first promo shot supposed to be a symbol for something?
I guess they decided to go after the fanboys of the original with this season? Despite Jack's speech at the end of last season, the resistance still calls the Visitors "V's," right? Heck, they call themselves V's.

Yay, she ate a rat. Even barfed it into the kid's mouth for good measure.
Is everyone satisfied now?
BTW, I felt the two minutes of expository dialog between Anna and Diana was more useful than about half of the first season.

Dear ABC,
You didn't post last week's ep on your site and you took V off of Hulu. Fuck you very much. I guess I won't be watching S2 of V. Too bad too...I was one of your biggest supporters even when others were shitting on you.
FUCK YOU ABC/DISNEY

CGI ruins a moment like that, there just is not the same squeamish feeling from seeing CGI where you know nothing is real.

I didn't really like this episode. Other than Erica finally discovering that Agent Malik was a mole and the suicide bombing plots, it got a little too hokey in some parts. Jane Badler was great as Diana, but it lost me once she and Anna attempted that deep conversation about the human soul and how to destroy it.
Anna's little mind meld/blackmail scheme with Ryan also got really hokey to watch.
I did get a good chuckle at Anna's "nurturing" scene with Ryan's baby.
The action does look like it picks up next week.

eh..I still like the show, but I thought that whole "soul" dialogue was written pretty ham-fistedly. Also, do they really need to have 10,000 razor sharp CGI teeth? We know they're non-human lizards, for pete's sake--you don't have to hit us over the head with it.
I want more fat-guy-with-machine-gun action like we had in the original.

Badler and even the character Diana is wasted here. Maybe it's going to go somewhere but with only 10 episodes they've wasted a lot of time with music and soul talk.
Seems like they're just throwing so much at us but none of that has any bearing on the story or moving thins forward.

The melodrama is what's killing the show; that stupid scene where the wife's mother was like "Don't you have a SOUL!?!" was awful!
They better up the action quotient because the drama is really weak.

I don't temember Anna speaking with a British accent in the last show.
Marina Baccarin and Scott Wolf are terribly wooden in this. They should remove her and make Jane Badler the main big bad.

And I agree, Ky-Fi, we need more action like Michael Ironside's Ham brought to the original (even if it was post-Kenneth Johnson's story).

What I liked about Lost, BSG and FlashForward is that they felt different than everything else I had seen before. This while enjoyable feels like 90's Sci-Fi.
