Glee to do a Justin Bieber themed Episode - is the world ending?
http://www.tvline.com/2011/01/glee-does-justin-bieber/
Details are still sketchy, but I’m told the episode — tentatively scheduled to air on Feb. 15 — will feature the cast covering several of the teen phenom’s songs. Bieber himself will also figure into the episode’s plot, although there are no plans for him to appear in the flesh. At least not as of this writing. This is shaping up to be a big February for Fox’s musicomedy smash, beginning with its post-Super Bowl entry on February 6, continuing two days later with the big Valentine’s episode and now, of course, . |

A show whose largest audience share is young females doing an episode on a musician that appeals to young females? Oh Shit!
Both are huge pieces of forgettable pop culture, just watch something else that week. |

This show seems intent on destroying itself.
Fucking Ryan Murphy. |
Re: Glee to do a Justin Bieber themed Episode - is the world ending?
Glee has been horrible this season, IMO, so this is just piling it on at this point ....

Considering I don't like many of the artists the show features (but enjoy the music anyway), I'm sure this will be just fine.

I will more than likely not watch this episode. I bet someone will de-Bieberize it on the internet.

The world may not be ending, but my interest in Glee already ended a while back. This...does not entice me back.

Aren't the Glee audience and the Bieber audience one and the same? Not sure why this is surprising.

I hear Conan has been tapped to play Bieber based on his amazing impression.

Re: Glee to do a Justin Bieber themed Episode - is the world ending?
It's a B.S. rumor according to Perez Hilton.
Contrary to false reports that have been floating online, our beloved Glee is not doing a Justin Bieber- themed episode. The show's creator and executive producer, Ryan Murphy, exclusively tells PerezHilton.com, "Glee is NOT doing a Justin Bieber tribute episode. We are not doing any more of those this season. Those are reserved for artists with a big catalogue, ala Madonna and Britney, etc." |

C'mon, who doesn't think that Glee has become so crassly commercial that next thing it would do is start a boy band. Well, that's about to become a reality in a big way with an episode featuring songs of that tween heartthrob Justin Bieber. Yes, I'm feeling nauseous, too. Especially since this episode is supposed to air a few days into the Paramount release of Bieber's 3D biopic Never Say Never. Despite some contradictory statements from Ryan Murphy yesterday, I've learned from insiders that the episode tentatively scheduled for February 15th will feature a storyline about this season's new character Sam (Chord Overstreet) deciding to start a boy band, and he'll sing 3 Bieber songs on the show. (I've watched maybe 5 minutes of Glee so I've never seen this kid. But I'm told he also sports a sideswept-bangs hairstyle similar to Bieber. As if that matters.) Hey, this is primetime so there could be last-minute changes in the episode now filming but this has been the plan. And consider this is yet another of my shameless plugs for Bieber's Internet traffic. |
