Too bad, this has been a really good show since day 1. I hope it finds its way back next year, ideally airing all at once during the summer.

Expect it to be the "Series" Finale. Episode 11 was tied for the lowest rated cable show of the night (0.3 in the demos) and 1.5M viewers.
Well... good, I guess. At least I'll get one more episode. For some reason I thought for sure this was the season finale..

The softball episode was the best of the series.

Manfro beating up Joe reinforces my dislike for his character.

But he didn't beat Joe up. Sure he was trashing the place, but even that damage was mostly superficial. Joe getting his tooth knocked out was an accident, and one he obviously instantly regreted.

Anyone else here see BReaking Bad season 3? It was interesting to see the Lesbian clerk from this show (who I always thought looked nice) on BR dolled up! She looked pretty good.

She also made an appearance on Friday Night Lights this season. Was weird not seeing her in a red vest and with hair pulled into a tight pony tail.

I have not enjoyed these summer episodes at all. I find myself starting to do other things while the show is on. Just not engaging to me as the first season. I will finish out the season but I don't think I'd miss it if it doesn't come back.

Yeah, Epyc threw us for a few minutes where we we're like "I know her from somewhere..."

I thought the second half of the second season was great from start to finish. The softball episode was probably the best of the entire series.

I think they did a great job in the finale of resolving things satisfactorily, but leaving open possible storylines should the show come back for another season. The changes and growth in these characters from the first episodes up until now has been a treat to watch.

Darn, cancelled cable last week, will have to look for the finale online. I've enjoyed the series quite a bit, and will likely buy the DVDs someday. Of course, that doesn't mean much....

So you have more money to spend now on 99 cent Blu-Rays huh?

J/K....In all seriousness, you should be able to watch it on TNT's website sometime next week.

It's more so I have time to watch all these DVDs I've been hoarding for years. If I never get cable again and watch DVDs in the time I used to spend on it, I'll finish my unwatched pile in 2039.

I looked at their site last night and could only find season one, but I must have been missing a tab or something.

It's official cancelled today by TNT. If you have followed the numbers during season 2 this shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

That blows. I was a real fan of the show. At least it kind of resolved it's storylines.

That sucks.... although Im a bit happy its one less show for me to watch.

Oh and PacMan, she was the Hispanic girl Jesse met in that rehab near the end. Her bro is the one who killed Combo and than got whacked himself.

Quality scripted family dramas are a dying breed. Parenthood, while getting renewed, still pulls in pretty crappy numbers. With the end of FNL, I think this type of show is on it's way out. Even the dramedy derivatives are not doing as well as they once did.

Oh and that abysmal CW / ABC Family crap is not what I am talking about .

Expected this to be cancelled, but still sucks. Shows about men like this just don't seem to find an audience (see HBO's short-lived Mind of the Married Man).

Because men who would appreciate them don't know how to work the remote.

Re: Men of a Certain Age -- The 2nd Season Thread -- Mondays on TNT

Bummer about the cancellation. "Men" was always the last thing I'd watch on the DVR, but easily one of the best. I didn't even know that was the season finale, but it works pretty good as a series finale. I just wish they had time for Joe to make good with Manfro. They had a complex and unique relationship so it's a shame for the last thing between them to be the fight.

Ray Ramano was on Marc Maron's WTF podcast awhile back and it sounded like he didn't want this to go on too long anyway. IIRC, I think he said after doing ELR for a decade, he only had a few years in him anyway for this show.

MoaCA is not a family drama. It's TV-MA, not to mention doesn't have a single story or character that any youngster would care about.

Looks like the cast hasn't abandoned all hope that they'll find life on another network:

Seems like Showtime would be a good fit.
