Well according to what I've read about the situation Sash said he'd help his mother buy a house if he won. Jane heard it somehow as him saying he'd help her with her house if he won.

But producers were never able to get footage of any of the conversation so they edited it out completely and are ignoring it.

I guess Holly and Jane did both vote for Chase. That means he got 4 of the 7 votes from players who didn't quit. I don't know if it's worth a debate having quitters deciding the Survivor winner.

I just had a 4 hour marathon watching the last 3 episodes (including the 2 hour finale) and what was otherwise a tough season to watch finished up strong. Fabio amazed the hell out of me the last few episodes and I loved his laid back easy going attitude. He was funny and charismatic too.

This season turned out to be not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I think Fabio's goofy personality and kicking ass the last 2-3 episodes helped the season finish strong. Survivor Vanuatu with Chris winning still IMO ranks as the worst Survivor season ever.

Congrats to Fabio. Hope the dude spends the money wisely....I'm sure his Mom and Dad will have a say on how he spends it.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I liked Chase. He was dumb for not voting out Holly at the final 5, but still he played the game. I think he's genuinely an honest guy and the game made him the annoying character they edited him to be. The three people closest to him, who he also voted out (Brenda, Holly, & Jane) voted for him. That has to show that he's a good guy, minus the edit they gave him.

I'm pissed for him that 2 quitters, shit players at that, got to decide that the idiot was more deserving of the million bucks. And if Kelly voted for Sash, it just goes to show even MORE that she was a shitty player.

And way to go for Jane! She actually prepared for the show. I liked how she told about that in the reunion. Knowing how to make fire - awesome!

And Dan actually made me feel temporary sympathy for Chase. For being about the most worthless contestant ever he had some nerve to get up there and go off on players who actually, you know, did something!

Jeff Probst thinks Chase has a shot at Nashville? That was the biggest waste of reunion time. Awkward and quite generic country tune.

Pissed that so much time given to Jimmy J's heart story when almost 1/3 of the group didn't even get a sound bite.

Never a good sign when Jeff tries to explain the new season twice and still fails. No one wants Redemption Island.

I think Redemption Island sounds interesting. Although I wonder if it might work better if nobody knew about it at the start - a total surprise.

Congrats to Fabio on winning, I think he deserved it. I can't believe that they were arguing about what "Outplay" means. Seriously?! The dude just won 3 immunities in a row, when he needed to. To mean that is both Outplay and Outlast.

I am looking forward to RI. At worst it will shake the game up, at best it will be an evolution of the game, like the Hidden Idols.

While sprining it as a surprise might sound good in theory, the Outcasts twist did not go off so well, partially because I believe they were provided with food, but also because no one had a clue it would happen, thus throwing a giant monkey wrench into the game. I think that making it clear at the outset makes it a fair game changer (do we have confirmation that the players are aware of this before the first vote?).

I wonder if anyone will use a "reverse" strategy and send a strong ally to RI to try and force whom the returning player will be. This would be like sending the same person to exile to force the idol into 1 person's hands and keep it away from others. I'm not sure if anyone would willfully want to go there, as you're half way out, but I could see an outnumbered alliance sending their strongest as a sort of way around the numbers.

You mean the players not knowing about it? If so, they probably wouldn't have. Hasn't the Redemption Island season finished by now. I thought the spring seasons filmed through Oct/Nov.

The concept sounds interesting. I don't mind when they make changes to the game. And this change sounds like it could be entertaining.
