That's what I originally thought... I assumed he took the body with him and disposed of it. But now I can't remember the exact details that led me to believe that and can't remember what Deb said when she called it in. Sounds like I have to do some rewatching.

The show's over when Dex gets caught. People say they'd like this, but Dex on the run would get old very quickly.

And as sloppy as he is lately, he'd get caught pretty quickly.
I think the more accurate word that describes the Dexter characters is "lucky". Despite being extra sloppy and how often he's been trapped into a corner, there were so many instances where luck would save his ass. Even when it appears Dexter's quick thinking was his saving grace, it's usually based largely on how lucky he is.

We did see Dexter and Lumen out on the boat, I would assume to dispose of his body.

/\ You're right, the body is gone from the crime scene. Just another cold case for Miami Dade, I guess

Consider me among those disappointed with the finale.

On another note, is Michael C Hall the voice of that new Dodge "Big Finish" commercial? Sure sounds like him.

I was sort of expecting the surviving Fuentes brother to show up looking for revenge against Deb for putting a bullet between his brother's eyes. Maybe next season? Seems like that storyline is too interesting (decapitations, cults) to just drop.

I just watched the entire Season in two days...and the Lady cop just disappeared. Pretty poor writing (I thought she took Debs desk?).

Yup. I think he's been doing commercials for Dodge for maybe a year now?

Re: Dexter -- Season Finale -- "The Big One" -- 12/12/10

Finally finished this season. I really liked it as usual but do think it was the weakest. It was very slow and didn't draw me in like the other seasons. Everything was way too conveniently wrapped up and there were too many dropped plot lines. Laguerta's character is all over the map. Still a good show and I'll be there for the next season but overall not great. Julia Stiles was a great addition. Makes sense that she left both story-wise and real world but sad to see her go for both the show and Dexter. I really expected it to end with Deb finding those photos and FINALLY putting it all together and saying "Fuck Me!" end scene
