Felicia 'Snoop' Pearson, who played a criminal in the HBO series, 'The Wire,' was arrested by DEA agents in Baltimore.
An actress who played a drug assassin on the HBO series "The Wire" was busted Thursday in a major narcotics sweep in Baltimore.
Felicia "Snoop" Pearson was among 30 people rounded up by the Drug Enforcement Agency on charges involving a large-scale heroin and marijuana operation, The Baltimore Sun reported.
The 30-year-old mush-mouthed actress, who played one of the chief enforcers for Marlo Stanfield's drug operation on the show, was taken into custody on a Maryland state warrant.
It's not Pearson's first brush with the law. She served 6 1/2 years in prison after being convicted of murder when she was 14.
She was also recently arrested for refusing to testify as a witness in a Baltimore murder trial.
She landed the role on "The Wire," after meeting actor Michael Williams, who played Omar Little, at a Baltimore club. Impressed by her gritty background, he introduced her to the show's producers.

Just saw that all 5 seasons of The Wire are $12.99 each for a "limited time" on iTunes. Don't know how limited a time that is, but it's a crazy good deal if you don't already own them.

Re: Does the Wire take a while to get going?
well im 4 episodes into season 5 now. i tore through all the seasons and for the most part enjoyed them. however the political storylines have really dragged it down for me. i have zero interest in politics so the mayor race especially bored me to hell. so far the newspaper storyline isnt anymore interesting either...im hoping it picks up or they lose focus on it. i really do love all the police and drug dealer story and characters though. also i found the school storyline to be very interesting.
as for the reality of the show...does baltimore not have gangs? i find it hard to believe 3 people controlled the drug trade in a 5 or whatever yrs span in such a large city. also, omar, as much as i love his character...hes completely unrealistic.
it is a very good show though.

I just started The Wire the other day. It all kind of clicked in the fourth episode. I'm liking it a lot and looking to see where the story takes everyone.

Re: Does the Wire take a while to get going?
Not that HBO Go is available in the Xbox 360 I'm going to start watching.
It's kinda funny, I've read so much about this show, from all kind of people, forum posters, critics, etc. and everyone loves this show. For some it's even the best show ever, above my favorite shows: Breaking Bad, Lost, etc.
So I'm kinda expecting to be a little underwhelmed, to expect to much from the show, but at the same time I'm kinda hopeful.

It took a couple of episodes for me. But if you aren't hooked 7 or 8 episodes in you probably never will be.

I just started rewatching this again on HBOGO, I am so sad this is no longer on the air. This should be the Law & Order and on for 20 seasons. I forgot that the "Avon Barksdale" of Homocide:LotS (another Baltimore show) was in this as the ME.

Well, I'm watching the season finale of the first season tonight. So far I'm in love with the show. Excellent writing, great acting, it has everything.
The 4th season is supposed to be one of the best ever in TV, so I'm excited. Oh, and that season 5 sucks, LOL!

Season 2 was my least favorite but even that one I liked a lot more and respected more on the 2nd viewing.

I am watching this on HBO GO as well. Loved the first season, but the second season seems so forced. Glad to read that it gets better.
Pretty funny to watch how amazed the characters get over technology like text messaging, in episodes from just 9 years ago.

In retrospect, the 2nd season is a masterstroke, but it takes hindsight to really put it in perspective. Still, the 4th season is the best. I need to put these back in my DVD player.

Right on about season 2. Watching it for the first time it's such a departure from season 1 that it just doesn't really work. After you see how it fits into the puzzle though it really is a "masterstroke" and really quite interesting when you go back and watch it again.

Season 2 was one of my favorites watching new. I am rewatching and am 9/12 episodes thru and it still holds up so well. It shows how law enforcement, both directly and indirectly, screw themselves up and let criminals continue to be criminals.
Does anyone know if Dominic West says "spot on" or carried a man purse in real lfe? Watching the scene where they want McNutty do an English accent is so awesome, but if West did either of those it would be even funnier.

Re: Does the Wire take a while to get going?
We, the wife and me, finished Season 4 last night.
I can't say it's my favorite show ever, but it's my Top 10. Omar Little is probably in my Top 5 characters though.
The writing is just so good. The acting the same. Really smart show. Never found it slow. All the episodes are interesting. I like Breaking Bad better but there's no "Fly" episode here.
I don't know if it's part of the "problem" with this show, but the lack of a main, strong, lead character, a la Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, etc. may affect the enjoyment of some viewers. I thought it was great they were able to deliver a great show without that.
