Would have preferred to see 30 Rock at 9:30 but Parks and Rec is a fun show.

Re: NBC Modifies Thursday Night Comedy Block (1/20/11)

Although Wednesday's 9 p.m. timeslot has Criminal Minds and 30 minutes of Modern Family (Cougar Town loses over 1/3 of the MF lead-in), Parenthood is a 9 p.m. show, not a 10 p.m. show, which is why it get 5 million viewers at 10 p.m., but should do better in the earlier timeslot. NBC would be happy if Parenthood could keep the L&O SVU ratings of 7-8 million viewers on Wednesday at 9 p.m. L&O SVU should be able to still snag 7-8 million viewers in the 10 p.m. timeslot, be it on Monday-Wednesday. IMO, NBC gains a net 2 million viewers by moving Parenthood to a 9 p.m. timeslot.

I'm glad Community is still holding up at 8. I hope it stays.

Considering Chase is barely hovering around 5M viewers and about 1.5 in the demos, I think Parenthood will probably pull in about the same numbers in the Monday at 10pm timeslot. One of the problems I read for Parenthood is more than half it's audience doesn't watch the show live (all DVR) probably because it's on at 10pm and families can't watch it together.

bad news for the Event. Sounds like this is a one season and done series. No way it recovers from a Flash Forward hiatus.

Thought they would have just dropped Outsourced. Pumped for Parks & Rec coming back.

I could careless when they air them as I watch them On Demand. But since I watch them On Demand I was unaware of the hatred for Outsourced around here. I love the show...it's my favorite new comedy right after Raising Hope.

I don't hate the show, I just think it's boring.

We'll see. Most people like the move to Mondays just so its not competing against Good Wife.

Granted, having Chuck and Cape as lead ins is a bit odd, but who knows?

Its not as long as the Flash Forward hiatus was but yeah NBC needs to tread lightly here. Why bother even coming close to repeating the same mistakes?

FlashForward's midseason hiatus was from December 3, 2009 to March 18, 2010

The Event's midseason hiatus is tentatively slated to go from November 29 (when show's already go on break) to February 28, 2011. The new show The Cape is going to fill in for the 8 weeks it's on hiatus in the new year.

Why the hell would they get rid of a show that does better than one of their other comedies and just about as good as the veterans? I believe, it's actually doing better than P&R did when it aired. And it's certainly doing the same/better than 30 Rock did when it first aired behind the office.

Was going back and forth on whether or not to give up on the Event, but the long hiatus has made my choice for me...

Probably. Damn, I'm gonna have to pick one of those to watch on-line. It's nice to have that option, but I'd rather not have to.

I'm not happy about the move for Parenthood. Great show but Castle and Hawaii 5-0 are two of my current favorites. That's a stacked time slot.

I still think Outsourced is very funny. Then again I think Kath and Kim was very underrated as well, and thought too many people bailed too early on that show as I thought it got funnier and better written as the season went on.

Doesn't that describe about a zillion sitcoms?

Expect a zillion more just like it, with the success of Modern Family.

30 Rock is in it's 5th Season, if it can't hold its own, it shouldn't be on the air (hence it being moved to 10pm to anchor that hour).

Mary Elizabeth Ellis (married to Charlie Day) from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Glad she's gotten a new show since she had such a limited character on Sunny. Too bad this looks like complete dreck though.

All midseason is crap. NBC has no faith in any of those shows. That's why everything got a back order except outlaw and undercovers. I have a feeling none of the shows will make it to a second season.

The Office was mid-season - there's been plenty of good mid-season shows throughout the years.

The Cape looks good. But, considering it's a Super Hero themed show, people in this forum are probably going to tear it apart.

Geez, I thought you were talking about the show on Wednesday which is about three couples in different stages of their relationships and that is also major league crapola

great about P&R. perfect world would be Community thripled with 30 and P&R for me. will check out PC, but no real hopes. thank god i found out about this invention called DVR the other week. my VCR would have gotten a time slot workout from this lineup.
