They really only show them taking one or two classes a semester... But gees, you guys take this shit way to seriously. I'd hate to break it to you but 30 Rock...yeah, not real. And Heroes? Oh boy.

I think the quote they attribute to Pierce was actually said by Christine O'Donnell

Loved this episode and the return of Annie's Boobs.

I'm also hoping for that to happen but I'm also have doubts too. The creator Dan Harmon said he wants the show to last at most four seasons. I think four seasons would be a good run for a show like Community.

Finally watched it - loved it.

Thought it would've ended better had the monkey been bringing the stuff to Seņor Chang, with him cackling maniacally at the very end.

Chang and Annie's Boobs seems like it'd be a little too much.

Chang gets along better with Shirley's Boobs anyway.

I don't get that first .gif with the pen being lifted. What exactly is happening? The monkey is taking the pen, right? But why is that guy switching from walking one direction to another?

You mean the two different guys in the hallway walking opposite directions?

It's different people; one guy is exiting the shot while another is entering but the gif ends/loops back to just the first guy.

Oh, damn. The loop made it hard to tell what was happening. I thought that was somehow part of a gag that I didn't get. I thought after watching the episode though that I bet they actually showed the monkey stealing the pen, and sure enough, they did. Pretty awesome.

Just my two cents but: I don't get the impression that they are full-time at all. My time in community colleges are that most there are working full-time and going to school part-time. Plus others change their majors a lot and it may take them 4 years to eventually finish one 2 year degree. I know they don't talk about their lives outside of school too much, but none of them live with their parents afaik, and I imagine most are working.

Also, I never really think too much of timelines or time passage. The 20 episodes we've had so far could all be contained in the first 50 days of the first year for all I know/care.

Fantastic episode! Love the fact that background details are put into the show.

Abed lives in the dorms (or did in season one, at least).

We've seen them in too many classes (or did the first year) for them to be going part-time. In fact, we saw them in so many first year classes they were taking overloads. That, combined with very little talk of what goes on outside, makes me peg them as part time workers with student aid going full time. Indeed, I think that's what is most consistent with the types who tended to spend lots of time on campus in study groups in the contact I have had with community colleges (and I have attended 3 of them).

Also, I never really think too much of timelines or time passage. The 20 episodes we've had so far could all be contained in the first 50 days of the first year for all I know/care.
That's how I would have preferred it, but we got very clear signals like the first Spanish semester ending and the priority registration that make it quite clear they're on semester #3. It's not that I want to pay attention to this -- it's that the show is putting it out there so blatantly that they have to be keeping track of it. I just want to know what the solution is since it is clear there has been some thought. It interests me.

Right. Troy lives with Pierce now. I am pretty sure they have also established that Annie Adderall is living at home.

I'm one that just came around. I watched from S1E1 all the way to current in less than a week.

I love this show. I hope it sticks around.

Actually if you look closer the word "monkey's" has been crossed out... so, "If we evolved from monkey's how come we still have Pierce?"

Community is such an fucking epic show... prior to the very first episode airing I thought for sure this show would suck and be cancelled within 4 episodes, but each subsequent week I'm proved wrong and I love that!
