My 8 month old LOVES having a blanket dropped over his head and yanked up. If he's lying on his back and I put it over his entire body, he kicks his legs to pull the blanket down and has a huge grin on his face as his face appears.

Is it just me or does Lumen look like she smells like cheese?

I'm really hoping this season ends with one or both of them dying. I can't take much more.

Yes, I have a few friends in law enforcement and it's something they do not do. The database can't be used for personal searches.

I think what makes Quinn really dangerous to Dexter is that Dexter is so absorbed in his own world he has no idea Quinn is gunning for him. Not like Doakes.

It does seem he doesn't particularly care for him. Not sure if it is made plain why. Or maybe it's just a leery distrust.

This is exactly my feeling about Quinn. Additionally...

Doakes knew something was off with Dexter and that became his obsession. Quinn is different...we know he is dirty and we know that he actually is kind of good at being a cop.

He doesn't really seem to think Dexter is something he isn't, it is merely the fact that he believes Dexter killed Rita. But he is also looking out for himself, since Dexter saw him take money from the crime scene in season 4.

If he trys to pin something on Dexter, wouldn't he worry Dexter might bring that up? If somebody has dirt on me (and is my wannabe girlfriend's brother), the last thing I would make my hobby is poking them with a stick.

What I found funny was you could see how many fingerprints it was searching through... and it looked like it was scrolling past 10 fingerprints every second as you can see the picture changing. The search took about 5 seconds or so. So basically they have roughly 50 criminals fingerprints in their database? Hell, let's say it was 30 fingerprints per second... that's still only 150. Pretty small database of criminals... you figure it would be bigger.

Plus scanning for matches of images is a lot more sophisticated than searching for words. I figure with a large database and the complexity of the image search it would take MUCH longer.

I know.. I know... it's only a show.

Wow, Peter Weller (Robocop) hasn't aged very well...

My guess is his original goal was finding out Dexter was a compulsive gambler or an addict or something. That way he could say "You keep quiet about me and I'll keep quiet about you."

If Dexter killed Rita, Dexter's credibility goes right out the window. If he gets busted and says "But Quinn stole money from a crime scene!" it becomes the word of a crazy wife killer vs. a cop.

I'd give good money for Weller to say to Dexter, "Dead or alive, you are coming with me."

Dexter, don't forget to take the leather gloves out of your back pocket. A bit out of place in the Miami heat.

I'm liking the Lumen storyline so far. At first I didn't like this "stunt casting" but then last season I realized it was just that I didn't like Jimmy Smits.

Smits was two seasons ago. John Lithgow was last season.

I thought it was a bit odd when the the corrupt cop talking to Quinn at the end suddenly turned to the camera and lectured us on Roman History.

Yeah, that doesn't change anything since they said they realized that last season, not that it happened then.

Yeah, I really didn't like Smits so when I heard about Lithgow I wasn't very enthusiastic. But Lithgow reminded me that those big names are often earned with talent.

I liked Smits on Dexter. I do wish they had done some things differently with the character, but overall I didn't mind season three. I know some people didn't like it much though. The bigger problem I had with season three was The Skinner storyline felt tacked on.

I remember watching the History Channel one night, and kept thinking Is that... Robocop?

As with all humans, they all react differently.

Count me in the group that isn't digging the Angel/LaGuerta pairing.

Things were a little better, but sort of still annoying when every season was LaGuerta banging someones husband.
