Re: Smallville -- "Isis" -- 10/22/10

I just noticed that in Shield when Lois was talking to Carter she picked up a necklace and that's when he started to tell her that it was Isis and that whole story, which lead to their Ra/Clark/god conversation. Nice tie - I imagine they planned that out nicely.
I also saw a nice observation somebody had from Homecoming. At the end in the barn Clark hesitated in the dark and it looked very similar to all those times the Blur stood in the shadows and wouldn't reveal himself to Lois. Then he stepped forward into the disco light. Coincidence?

I wish I would have recorded this ep because it would be useful on nights where I can't fall asleep. I was in a battle to keep my eyes open the first half of the episode.
Tess and Oliver were the only interesting part of the episode.
It will be interesting to see what they do now that Clark made his reveal to Lois.

I thought for sure that someone was going to walk in on Clark & Lois at the end or that Clark would rethink telling Lois his secret (again!). I was more shocked that they did end up having him tell her during what seemed like such a filler of an episode. Glad to see things moving forward sooner rather than later.
I'm going to predict he flies on the last episode before the winter break.

I really enjoyed this episode. Mostly filler, yes, but enjoyable filler. And kudos for having Clark not back off at the end.
Cat Grant was totally miscast. And horribly written. Given her apparent familiarity with Clark, I assume she's appeared before and I blocked her from my memory.

And props for the costume dept for having Lois in that get-up.

Pretty boring episode, although the ending redeemed it. Also the scene with Alexander was pretty cool, and they could totally build that storyline in a way to bring back Rosenbaum if he's willing.
I wonder when they'll go full swing with bringing in Darkseid?

the end was all you needed to watch and well worth it.
i think Justin Hartley and the girl who plays Tess are terrible actors. Hartley tries to act all breezy with his dialogue and comes across like he is trying way too hard.

The end was amazing. The scene with Tess and Lex was very touching, and the Lois & Clark reveal was perfect. Durance and Welling's looks/glances at each other alone sold the scene.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The final scene was very magical. The looks that Erica and Tom give each other brought a smile to my face.
Loved when Lois essentially tackled him.The Isis storyline was filler, but watchable.

My wife was in tears during the final scene. That's how well Durance and Welling nailed it.

Somehow I found Lois getting stabbed hilarious, and have watched it many mnay times.
That Isis costume looked bad on tv as well, really cheap. As well as the golden eyeshow on her eyelids, Bleh.
The writers have made Tess into a kind of sobbing emotional wimp.
Durance and Welling are very good together.
Its cool the story is moving forward at such a rapid pace.
