Parenthood -- "Orange Alert" -- 10/19/10

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Zeek enthusiastically prepares for Halloween but is disappointed by the older kids' lack of interest in the holiday. Elsewhere, Max has Halloween plans that worry his parents; Sarah decides to confront Gordon about what happened between them; and Julia isn't pleased with Sydney's costume choice.

Season 2 has been really good so far, but I think they are relying alot more on standalone plots than serial plots from season 1.

I don't know if this really means squat, but Parenthood's ratings have actually increased via post DVR playback

This article shows that the viewership from episode 2 increased from 4.8M viewers to 6.8 and 2.0 to 2.9 in the demos.

People are watching their favorite shows, just not necessarily live.

this Halloween themed ep should just be nothing but Minka Kelly trying to find the perfect slutty Halloween costume but I bet the writers got all "lazy" and did something else.

I'm enjoying this second season thus far. Adam has had some great moments the past few episodes with his family issues (ie, Max).

Mae Whitman in the banana suit. Classic. I miss Arrested Development.

This has quietly become one of the better shows on network TV.

^ Agreed. For those that watch Brothers and Sisters, how does it compare? On the surface, the shows sound nearly identical.

Another solid episode last night.

Good episode, but that's become par for the course for this show.

It's good Crosby manned up and proposed to Jasmine. I hope she says yes and they don't add unnecessary drama to their storyline. Crosby was pretty cool with the whole cubby thing too.

I really liked the Max storyline this time around, more than usual. It was nice to see that Max really is aware his parents are treating him differently from other kids. I was glad he didn't have a breakdown at the end and was able to not only make it through the night, but have fun.

Julia trying to convince Sydney not to dress up like a beauty queen for Halloween was hilarious. I loved Sydney's response to how beauty queens were judged.

Yeah that's the first thing I thought. It had to have been intentional.

I like Brothers and Sisters, but it gets really depressing alot of times. I like that Parenthood is more upbeat.

Episode really needed more Lauren Graham in that Cat Woman outfit.
