With a title like that I wonder if this is going to be a Blade Runner homage. Peter/Deckard hunting down shapeshifters/replicants? Should be cool.

The last episode Straiton directed was "Peter", so I'm pretty jazzed about this one. Well, a little more jazzed than I already would be.

Really, really good episode. Probably one of the best. I can't believe we have have to wait until November for the next episode.

I had grown used to seeing Olivia with brown hair. The opening with the blonde hair took me out of the show for the entire time that sequence took place. Once she had it in a ponytail I was fine though.

Great episode. Shame about the break until November.

The shootout opening kicked all kinds of ass. Good to see Broyles in the thick of it like that.

I think Peter knows and is playing both sides now.

The only reason he's coming onto Fauxliva's advances is because he knows it's not Olivia.

Now that is what I'm talking about! A great episode from start to finish. The stuff with Peter and Fauxlivia was great and I love seeing Walter have free reign at Massive Dynamic. I didn't realize we were getting a break, now I'm pissed!

This as well. The opening really set the pace for the episode. It was fantastic.

Great episode!

I love that they don't treat us like dumb viewers. In other shows, they would wait until the end of the season for the reveal that Peter knows about Olivia. In fact, in Fringe, I don't think the drama is in knowing that she is Fauxlivia, but in all the ways she's changing in this new world, would she become an ally of our world?

I think that is what we're being led to believe by showing how being "over here" affected that cop shape-shifter. I also believe, as someone else pointed out, that Charlie will come over and be an ally as well. Once they've been here and see that we're not the monsters they've been led to believe, they want to stay here.

Every time Fauxliva busts out that smile of hers, it's unsettling.

Re: Fringe -- "Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?" -- 10/14/10

I don't think Peter knows it's not the real Olivia. I think they're planting that stuff to at least throw us a bone that he does notice she's acting differently, which is good because we can obviously see Anna Torv playing Fauxlivia MUCH differently, but I think they made it a point to have Peter rationalize that it's because of the jump stuff. But they also made it a point to have him say the thing about seeing what you want to see. What I'm trying to say is that this show rules.

I think Peter knows. That speech at the restaurant with Fauxlivia was almost confirmation that he did know.

This episode pissed me off. Peter's going to eventually fuck two Olivias. Bastard.

I guess I don't see Peter "playing along" if he knew for sure it was the case. Especially to the point of banging the fake one.

why not? he can try to gain more insight to what she's doing there by playing along.

Re: Fringe -- "Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?" -- 10/14/10

I thought it was pretty clear he has no idea. He notices differences but he thinks she is just changing as a result of having been over there. He wouldn't go balls deep in Fauxlivia intentionally IMO.

That's my feelings too. I think they've established enough about Peter as a person for that to be pretty clear. Especially in light of his own internal struggle he's having with the other side vs. this side.
