Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Fitch & Washington and Stone & Sanchez are called to a car wash to investigate a brutal homicide, where the owner, Thomas Jackson, is found tortured and shot to death, his business trashed. The case takes a turn when the detectives uncover illegal activities taking place at the car wash, putting the victim's wife in danger. Meanwhile, Longford and Mahajan report to a record store, where an up-and-coming hip-hop star is found dead. Their investigation into the circumstances of his death reveals a secret life.

Totally forgot about this one since I worked the morning shift today. I'm slowly catching up on it.

Oh and speak of the Devil, Fist of Doom bumps last week's thread!!

I just checked Fist of Doom's comment in the other thread and I do agree with his assessment. There are so many law enforcement shows this Fall, that I think this show would have stood out more with a long term arc than the usual cases of the week. That way you won't have people just writing this off as another damn cop show. But, the acting and directing of each episode has been solid thus far. They did a good job casting this show.

Edit: So now I'm through 2 episodes. Love Detective Fitch....Imperioli brings it and I also dig Detective Sanchez with her sassiness. Shooting this on location in Detroit helps out tremendously and adds to the grittiness. This show reminds me alot of Southland on TNT, only in Detroit. I'll probably get to this episode later in the week.

It does kinda suck that Fitch is obviously in love with Sanchez, but she's gonna end up with her model partner.

The 2 different stories fit well with the show because it's like 2 different sets of cops. You have the way to hot to be detectives show, and then old grizzled cop w/young rookie show. So far, its working out ok.

That was a pretty nice gunfight last night.

Ugh that storyline is gonna drag the entire show the fuck down!
I hope the writers are smarter than that.

I want to like this show, and it seems to be trying to be the new NYPD Blue (and not just because of Fancy). I like Imperioli and his partner, and Fancy and his, but the gal with the long hair running around with that shotgun really gets on my nerves. The cases are interesting, but something about this show is annoying. Maybe if Milch was involved...

I still need to watch the last episode from this week. I was somewhat disappointed(not surprised)to read over the weekend this show is one of the top prospects to be canceled among others. I get tired of committing time to a show only for the network to cancel it after the first few shows have aired. Anyone hear any solid news on this yet?

Being from Detroit, I really wanted to give this show a try. I finally watched the first 20 minutes of the pilot and, with the pile up of other shows on my DVR that I'm already struggling to find time to watch, I just could not justify continuing this one.

That figures! This is actually one of the few new shows that I am really digging, of course it would be heading for cancellation...sigh.

Noone said this show is getting cancelled yet. The numbers nut jobs who obsess over ratings, especially at Tvbythenumbers.com are just making assumptions because of the 18-49 demographic numbers this has been getting are a little low. The show isn't serialized, so just go with it and enjoy what ABC puts out.

Well, they did sorta give Fitch a recurring villain, with that industrialist who ordered the hit on the squatter.
