The ep wasn't bad at all, but the ending kind of fell flat. I was expecting another scene or two to put a button on the storylines.

Yeah, this was a really good episode. I wasn't so enthusiastic about the show like most here, but every episode is making me like more this show.

Does Rothstein's guy think he's hanging out with Jimmy's wife or does he know that's his mom? Is he there to do something to her?
I'm a little unclear on that part.

I think Rothstein/Lucky just think she's Jimmy's girl (not his mom). Trying to keep tabs on Jimmy as a result of his involvement in the heist.

Michael Pitt is 29 so yes he is older than his character. Has the age for Gretchen Mol's character been established? This was the first episode I saw -- I presumed that the two were a couple when the guy asked about Jimmy.

Yeah - that's the problem. If they truly were 16 years apart and looked that way, then that would be perfectly legitimate and believable. They both look their age though.

Enjoyed this episode. At first I was a bit weary of this show - seemed like too many mobster movie cliches, but it is getting better as I expected. I really like the scenes of Nucky's involvement in politics and the corruption. I hope, and think they will, focus on this more in the future rather than the more petty prohibition antics we've seen so far.

Great episode but that scene outside Gretchen's club with the dude stalking her was just horrible. He shows up and asks about Jimmy, she shuts the door in his face. Next scene out of nowhere she decides to make out with him? Weak writing.

I agree. Guess I am sorta wishing they'd move the rival cities thing along a bit more and spend a little less time on longing glances, etc.
I hope Al Capone settles things up next week.

I think she knows her son is in trouble and is going to use her best skills to get him out of it, by mesmerizing Lucky with her sexuality.
