I'd like to see Eli take the Michael Shanks/Dr. Jackson route and develop into his own character while also becoming more fit. Needs to show up Scott to make Chloe jealous while connecting with the Lucian girl. Although I have a feeling he'd have an issue with the fact she killed her boss.

Are you new to the internet? People can't seem to stop coming back to complain about stuff they supposedly dropped, disliked or have no interest in.

I liked the ep although nothing major happened. I really liked seeing Rush being forced to question his choices.

I'm surprised at the fate of the guy. At a minimum I was thinking we'd end up being crippled and have to hobble around the ship. to the consequences though! Keeps things grounded.
I suppose the lady who overheard TJ tell her secret is going to eventually say something to Young.
I was wondering for a moment if Rush wasn't imagining things, but instead it's an ancient trying to somewhat help him. Maybe that was the guy rather than his ex-wife though.
At least the Lucian part has already been thinned down. I think based solely on how much screen time a few of them were getting that we knew somehow or another they'd stick around.

I'm waiting for someone on Destiny to say "hey, we should integrate them into our crew like the Maquis on Voyager"

I am very close to dropping the show. I think I figured out why this show is destined to fail. The actor playing Col. Young is just not as good as the guy playing Rush, which throws the whole dynamics of the show off. They keep trying to pivot major storylines around Young, and I just do not care one bit about him or his story. Honestly I would be more willing to keep watching if they shook up the show by killing off Young and letting Lou Diamond Philips take command.

I saw this episode earlier today and I thought it was fine. I mean I wasn't expecting a crazy ass space battle and more gun fights. We already went through that in the last few episodes of last season. It was a very character driven episode and I saw what a really tortured soul Col. Young is and even Rush pointed out that he is losing it psychologically and is not fit to lead this mission. Also, you could see the torture in Young's face when he smothered Riley. The guy is on the brink of madness and I think there is a strong possibility that Telford may take over command. People are dying on this mission and we are definitely seeing some severe consequences to poor decision making. BTW, I did notice Robert Knepper (T-Bag on Prison Break) briefly in this episode. I think his character is probably bound to stir up more trouble before the Destiny dumps the last remaining Lucian members. I think the main reason for all the backlash from SG fans is Cooper and Wright re-invented the show and made it into a dark serialized space soap opera with very small elements of the SG world. And I assume that people who watch science fiction want more adventure and humor than dealing with people's inner demons like the crew of this ship. As I said before, I'm glad that Robert Cooper and Brad Wright took a really tired procedural-like formula for SG and took it into an entirely different & fresh direction IMO.
Hell, Caprica is experiencing alot of the same issues this show is facing as well with lots of BSG fan backlash.
The only thing in this episode that confused me was Telford's status with the crew and Lucian alliance. Is he still undercover? I saw he was talking to one of the Lucian's as he was still a traitor and then at the end he was back working with the Destiny crew.

Hollywood does the same thing over and over they get accused of no creativity. So they try something new and take a concept in a new direction and the people don't like that either.
People like what they like and don't like what they don't like. Fine. It just sucks that the rest of us will probably have to see another cancellation of a show that we enjoy.

You can't expect to keep fans of a series when you fundamentally change what made folks fans in the first place. And as for being something new, this show is BSG's & ST:V's lovechild.
This show, and to a greater extent Caprica, just aren't very good, and being connected to more successful series I'm sure helped them more initially than has hurt them over the long run. No one would have even started watching either of these shows if they weren't supposed to be about stargates and cylons, instead of space angst and whetver the Hell Caprica is supposed to be about now.

Agreed this one has not been my cup of tea and I am basically done. Too many other things to do and shows I actually like to keep the DVR on this one.
BTW anyone notice that they have yet to revisit the Chloe "infection" stuff yet either. You would have thought some sort of little tidbit would be in each episode since clearly they will be making it an important part of the story.
I miss the fun exciting misadventures of the SG-1/Atlantis days, oh well.
