I actually like the virtual world stuff. That's all laying the groundwork for projecting (when they can see stuff that isn't there, have a virtual world of their own, etc.) and their bodies dying, but their minds living on (I forget what they called that).

Resurrection.
I try to think that this is in a different universe then BSG. If I didn't my head would explode trying to think where the final 5 fit into this.

Show is already dead. Moore is signed on to to do 2 pilots and needs the show to be 'done' by January so he can leave Universal for Sony.

Moore produces the show, but he isn't the showrunner....that job belongs to Kevin Murphy. Universal Cable owns the show, So it's irrelevant if Moore leaves.

Thought this episode was just okay. Coming off a nearly 6 month break, I was hoping they would do a little more than give a nearly 1 hour exposition on religion. I like Polly Walker alot, but I'm just not feeling the religion subplot with her, the monastaries, Priests, Nuns etc. Did not recognize Meg Tilly at all as one of the Nuns. The only thing that I'm really getting is they are a bunch of religious fanatics and will use terrorism like that virtual bomb sequence in the beginning to make their point. I know Battlestar Galactica tackled alot of religion, but honestly it was my least favorite part of the show.
So what was the deal with Amanda at the end? Are we to assume that Clarice rescued her after her suicide attempt?
I thought it was funny also that Adama and his gay brother are acting like mobsters and muscling Daniel, especially with that bomb threat against his mother.
The last scene with Zoe in the V world doing some kind of matrix martial arts action sequence was cheesy.

And to answer your questions about the ratings:
Caprica
- 0.889 million viewers
- 0.6/1 HH
- 0.4/1 A18-49
Not good. It's not a fair comparison, but Rubicon on AMC and Terriers on FX are actually doing worse in the 18-49 demos, which is the key.
Moving this and SGU to such a busy night like Tuesday was a mistake by SyFy. I'm just going to expect the next 8 episodes to be the last.
I read on another site and Twitter that alot of Caprica fans had no clue the premiere was moved up to October 5th, which is the 1st excuse.

It was announced a month ago. Plus, really, who the hell does not have a DVR?

I wouldn't have known about it without the thread started a couple days ago. And I had removed from my DVR since I'm only allowed a certain number of series recordings, so my DVR wouldn't have caught it.

You mean Moore leaving Universal? Yeah I knew that. I knew he signed a development with Sony. Okay, I'll be realistic...with roughly 900K in viewership, we probably aren't going to see a 2nd season. Even with Moore leaving the studio, it doesn't mean SyFy can't order another season. It's not unheard of for the network to continue the show without it's creator.

I had sort of assumed that Amanda's death was faked because Daniel was getting involved with the mob and he didn't want them to be able to go after her if the deal went bad.
Hadn't occurred to me that she might have died and the Amanda that we saw was virtual clone.

Not a good start for the 1.5 season. Clarice story is too weird, Zoe looked silly fighting, but bright spot is that Daniel's story is still interesting.
