^^ But, why do Nielsen viewers have to do all the work? I mean I watch stuff that interests me with a good cast and creative team. Why should we have to be at the mercy of Billy Bob's Nielsen box and his red neck family who changed the channel and watched Dancing with the Stars instead? Because they aren't smart enough to understand this show? I enjoy whatever the network manages to put out. Plus, I know that the DVR has dramatically changed the viewing habits of many people as they casually watch stuff during the week rather than Live that night.

I read JuryDuty's spoiler, before finishing the episode, I was almost halfway done, and was excited about the big "reveal", only to be dissappointed, LOL!

But yeah, we really don't know what they are, I think, I hope, they are time travellers too.

I aim to disappoint!

LOL Sorry about that. I should have said it "supports" the theory, not "confirms" it.

the first flashback kind of pissed me off. We see Sean at the hotel helping the injured FBI agent and I thought to myself "I don't remember him getting away." I could have sworn that he was handcuffed in the back of the car when last week's episode ended.

then two seconds later, we flashed back to two hours earlier.

kind of unnecessary.

I agree. The episode could have easily started with the RV wreck. The flashback was unnecessary.

I liked it, but couldn't Sean have even taken a SECOND to see if someone in the RV needed help?! They even made a point to show a bicycle!

Not to mention being able to stroll into the FBI server room from the parking ramp.

Good episode overall though. to the ending.

That was the plan for LOST from the very beginning, though. ABC purposefully made JJ and his writers make the show an island drama (because what they really wanted was a serial-drama version of Survivor) which is why the show is almost entirely devoid of Sci-fi elements during that time. They knew that Sci-fi turned off viewers, but JJ took the show on the promise that he could introduce those elements later and what do you know, the show started losing viewers, as ABC predicted. But by then so many were invested in the show that despite the fact that it became a Sci-fi show almost overnight it stayed successful.

I find it hilarious that the networks keep trying to create the next LOST with shows that are blatantly science fiction shows from the beginning (Flash Forward, The Event) while completely ignoring the formula that ABC itself insisted on that made the show succeed. Before the sci-fi LOST was pretty much just a serial drama about survivors on an island (and well, a polar bear).

There are holes like this in the show--but it that way it's JUST like 24, which always had roll-your-eyes holes throughout. But just like 24, this show has so much adrenaline, it's easy to forgive. Give us enough entertainment and we're willing to enjoy the ride without thinking about it too much.

Does it bother anyone else that they even use the same font as 24?

^ Well, with Evan Katz as the showrunner I doubt the similarities with implausible plotlines and even the font will end there.

Yes..if there's anything this show is, it's a rip off of Lost. Totally proven by the fact that there was a plane crash. I think Lost was the first show to feature such a thing, therefore anything even involving a plane on TV is ripping it off.

I felt this was the weakest episode thus far, and it was exactly because of what the last few posts are talking about. It felt like an episode of 24 in the way that there were just so many plot holes in order to bring big action moments. I'm in till the end at this point, but I was hoping it would stay a bit smarter. Hope it gets back on that track.

LOL just to be clear, I was being sarcastic. Read the OP and you'll see I was responding directly to that.

Lost was nothing more than a ripoff of Gilligan's Island.

No worries. And just for the record, you've had two of the best avatars on this forum (this avatar and the last one). I'll be really upset though if you change it again! :P

LOST also tossed in the "will they or won't they" love story plotline which never fails to attract audience. I'm sure many chicks watched just to see what would happen with it.

Decent episode but the show just isn't really hooking me. I think this will still be a DVR it show and watch a few days later for me.
