The "Wonder Woman" costume, before (left) and after.

I like the red boots better than the blue ones. I'm still not sure about the pants though.

What's with the jumping over the car shit. She can fly/glide or did they take that power away?

They're inconsistent about her flying. She can in comics and on JLU, but not on the 70s series. I bet she doesn't on this show either.

Her pants look saggy. That means if she bends over etc she would have a wonder wedgie.

I don't know how but she'll probably fly before Clark on Smallville.

The pants just don't fit, no pun intended.

I'm thinking she might have variations on the costume. The earlier version we saw could be one she wears when she's more formal with her amazonian friends and the latter is for action/combat.

Losing the latex pants was a step in the right direction, imo. They do need to be tailored a tad better, but I even like the stars going down the side. Now if they could just cast all the metal accents in a material that doesn't resemble cheap plastic...

Also glad to see they toned down the hooker make-up. Let's just hope they made similar overhauls to the pilot script.

The premise of the show needs her to have a "costume" as she is marketing herself as a company brand much like a professional wrestler would. The one scene we were shown has her going on and on about her action figure even.

OMG Seriously? This thing has FAIL written all over it. I seriously hope I'm proven wrong but really?

And I totally agree with the comment about the accessories. Why do they look like spray painted plastic? They should be metallic and at least look like the attempt to be real.

Those pants look like something a Captain would wear in the Civil War. And her "mean mug" facial expression while running is pure hilarity.

From Knight Rider Online:

Website Deadline Hollywood posted an article rounding up new cast members it has discovered in staring in pilots. One of these pilots features Justin Bruening as "Steve Trevor" in the new Wonder Woman pilot:

Former Knight Rider star Justin Bruening has joined another reboot for NBC, the network's pilot Wonder Woman. The David E. Kelley-penned project stars Adrienne Palicki as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, a successful corporate executive working to balance the elements of her complicated life. Innovative-repped Bruening will play Steve Trevor, a leading man Diana can't look past, an army vet who now works in the Justice department.

We'll let you know if we hear any more to validate this! UPDATE Confirmed with Justin! Congratulations!

I think she and Shia Labouf went to the same "run like you're taking a power dump" school of acting.

Re: David E. Kelley developing new Wonder Woman series

NBC’s Wonder Woman Will Wear Three Different Costumes

When the first photos of Wonder Woman star Adrianne Palicki emerged from the pilot’s set a couple of weeks ago, it seemed that NBC had reacted to the outcry over the initial publicity still and swapped the shiny vinyl costume for, well, something far less shiny.

But that isn’t what happened at all. Oh, the network heard the criticism; it just didn’t respond to it. Instead, it kept to the plan, which apparently is for Wonder Woman to wear three costumes: the shiny one that virtually everyone hates, the one we saw in the set pics, and one that will be … slightly more familiar.

“There was an initial outcry about the long pants – you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts [worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series],” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt tells TVLine. “But the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale (played by Elizabeth Hurley). [...] We haven’t made any changes from what was planned. But it’s always good to hear the feedback. I’d rather have people really passionately engaged in conversation, even if they hate something, than be kind of bored.”

So if Wonder Woman makes it to NBC’s fall schedule — “I’ve been doing this long enough to know that nothing is a safe bet,” Greenblatt concedes — fans may end up seeing a version of those star-spangled shorts after all.

David E. Kelley’s pilot is described as a reinvention of the DC Comics superheroine, who’s recast as Diana Themyscira, a successful corporate executive who fights crime as Wonder Woman while trying to balance the elements of her extraordinary life. In addition to Palicki and Hurley, Wonder Woman also stars Justin Breuning as Steve Trevor, Cary Elwes as Henry Detmer, Tracie Thoms as Etta Candy, and Pedro Pascal as Ed Indelicato.

Wait, they used the name of the island as her last name? Is she really going to be from an island of Amazons and this is just her cover, or are they just throwing that all out the window?
