Actually the costume concept and design isn't that terrible. Its actually very close to what the current Wonder Woman costume in the comics actually is (minus the horrible jacket).
At this point, the only clear consensus on the costume is those boots need to be red. There is too much blue there.
And the picture overall makes that outfit look way too shiny so you don't get a sense she can actually move at all in it.

I like the top, although a less shiny material would also work, but i HATE the pants and boots.

The idea isn't bad. It's the excecution that's terrible. It looks just a cut above what you'd see in a con or a costuime party.
And is that girl in thge suit the actress they picked? If so...

Yes, that's Adrianne Palicki (who will play Diana) from Friday Night Lights and the cancelled Lonestar. I wonder if she's wearing hair extensions.

Thoughts? Looks like they used Homer Simpson's makeup gun on her.
Landry should kill the guy who did her makeup

Another reason why I hate the pants...her hips look square and not nicely curvy. I'll bet someone airbrushed her to make her look thinner.

Any Wonder Woman live-action TV series or movie is going to be cheesy as hell, unless you can find an actress that can not only do justice to the character physically, but also in terms of a performance. You also need the right creative people. A fitness competitor could do justice to the character physically, but then wouldn't be a credible actor. An actress could do justice from an acting standpoint, but wouldn't be credible physically. Wonder Woman was an Amazonian warrior/princess after all.
With all due respect to Lynda Carter, she was not believable as Wonder Woman, and her show was very cheesy.
That costume not only looks cheap, but WW does not wear pants or spandex.

I'm not a WW fan by any means, but that costume looks like some $20 POS I'd find at Costume Castle.

Lynda Carter apparently likes the new costume. She also says she's open to appearing in the show in some capacity should it get picked up to series. She couldn't appear in the Pilot because she's touring and promoting a new CD.
Remember they are just filming a Pilot for the folks at NBC. A pickup will be determined in May.

As much as I'm not a Joss Whedon fan (I only like Firefly and the general, albeit underdeveloped, idea behind Dolhouse), I long for his film proposal more and more. The bit I read about it showed far more love and respect for the character than this potential mess likely will.
