Two things about this episode:
-Micheal Shanks was fantastic in this episode. Reminded me of his time on Stargate.
-Clark's Red Jacket is hidious.

I didn't like this one as much as the premier. It had some good moments, but in general something was well off.
It did continue to set up what appears to be the season long arc. Interesting that the suicide squad are the ones that captured Ollie. Stupid that somehow a trade was the only way Chloe could figure out to save him. Then ontop of that - for some strange reason - she wipes herself from existence. Weird.
I also liked the conversation between Clark and Oliver. It was finally Clark talking sense to somebody and giving some leadership by example. Finally seeing mature and rational!
My favorite parts were those in Africa with Lois and Carter. Interesting that he quickly read between the lines and came straight out and had an open conversation with her about Clark. I liked her conversation that was half with herself/half with Carter. It showed she cared and yet wasn't all up about the issue itself like she was in that parallel dimension or future time episode last season (believe it was Exposed). "What if you realized you were sitting across from Ra?"

Speaking of not seeing people's names in the credits, anyone following the Sam Jones III (Pete Ross) craziness with a playboy model, Karissa Shannon?

/\ Yeah, that's pretty crazy. He was arrested about a year ago for his part in the purchase and distribution of 10,000 oxycodone pills, also. Kind of a shame.

In a July 2010 interview, Karissa revealed she is dating actor Sam Jones III, with whom she made a sex tape.
In August 2010, sources began to report that Karissa had made a sex tape with Heidi Montag and that Spencer Pratt was attempting to sell the tape. Karissa confirmed the tape exists, but said she doubts Pratt has it.

was this the first time that they actually said "Superman" on the show? It was during the talk about the concept of the uber-mensch (sp?) and Lois said Superman. I think Chloe once said superguy, but that was the only instance I could think of.

Edit: From the pilot
Lana: Nietzsche? I didn't know you have a dark side, Clark.
Clark: Doesn't everyone?
Lana: So what are you: Man or Superman?
Clark: I haven't figured it out yet.

Nice tie in then back to Nietzsche from season 1. Although I suppose there aren't too many scholarly discussions about 'superman' outside of Nietzsche that I'm aware of.
