CSI: -- The 11th season thread -- Thursdays on CBS

By djariya at 2011-01-30
Similar to what I did with the other veteran CBS procedurals this week, CSI is a 1 season thread. Too much on Thursdays to do this every week. If there is an interesting episode/story/guest, this will get bumped.

Said this before (or at least someone did): boo for getting rid of Liz Vassey.

Should be just Thursdays, no apostrophe. Just because a word ends with an 's' doesn't mean it needs an apostrophe. Did the rules of grammar and spelling change since I went to school? I see this mistake ALL THE TIME.

Lousy send off for Liz Vassey. This was one of the worst episodes in the show's history IMHO. Some of the dialog sounded like it was written by kids.

Yeah, I'm a fan of a good pun every 30 minutes or so, but this episode was just overflowing with nonsense dialog.
Sad to see Vassey go, but at least in the end they made her a field mouse.

Those lab scenes with Vassey she look like a skeleton with eyes. Her face is really sunken. Needs a hamburger or 2.

Okay, the puns are getting out of hand on this show. There used to be a couple per episode now they're working them into every conversation and it's getting old.
As for the episode "Blood Moon"
How fucking lame. It's around Halloween so lets cash in on the werewolf/vampire craze. Terrible. It started out okay with Catherine and her beau getting it on but quickly went downhill from there. I also thought the show was overly violent.
Anyway,

Looks like the start of a new multi-episode killer arc started tonight.

For those curious, the Sqweegel character is actually from a novel that CSI creator Anthony Zuiker wrote called Level 26. It's a planned trilogy (the second book comes out this month I think).
Anyway, was cool to see this freak make an appearance on CSI.

I happened to flip to CBS right when that car wash scene in last night's episode was taking place. That was totally bizarre. Pretty damn graphic too, even for CSI.

Hopefully the producers can persuade William Petersen to come back for an episode or so. Stunt casting by the likes of Carrot Top just isn't cutting it.

Even ignoring Carrot Top, this entire episode felt 'off' to me. Dunno who the director was, but nothing seemed to click right and the regular cast acting was very stiff. Odd for this show.

And yes Hodges, you miss Wendy. So do the rest of us still watching. Get over it.
Nice to see both Kevin Weisman and Amy Acker.

I didn't think CT was that bad. It was a brief (HA!) scene and it was certainly more tolerable than the Rascal Flatts episode.
