One of the few CSI episodes of late where I actually paid attention to what was going on on-scene.

Big CSI news!!

This is not confirmed, but according to an online source:

Spoiler:
William Petersen (Grissom) will be guest starring on the Feb 3rd episode of CSI called "The Two Mrs. Grissoms"

http://www.csifiles.com/content/2011...st-appearance/

I looked at a couple of other boards and some viewers in Canada have reported seeing promos of the episode featuring Petersen, but he requested to have them pulled as he didn't want his appearance promoted.

regarding that spoiler, which is
Spoiler:
completely true, the catch is that he appears through online video messaging, like Skype, and not in person interacting with the team. I also saw the CTV promo.

I was surprised at first you even heard his voice on that phone call. Thought it might be a soundalike. But I was genuinely floored to see him on the Skype chat. I had been convinced that Petersen had totally left CSI in his rear view mirror. Nice to see him again.

I'm pretty sure that when he left the show, he said that he occasionally planned to come back for cameo appearances. Or am I misremembering?

^^ Yeah that was a pleasant surprise to see Petersen back last night even though it was essentially a cameo. I still don't quite understand how the Grissom-Sara relationship is working considering she's been working in Las Vegas for almost 2 years now and he has been traveling, lecturing and is now at some Incan dig. It's only been 2 years since he left the show, but geez it looks like he's aged 10 years.

I know Petersen will never come back to work on the show full-time again, but if CSI makes it to season 12, which I'm sure it will, that he's willing to make sporatic guest apperances to help with cases. Especially since Marg/Catherine is leaving after this season.

He said he was open to making occasional guest apperances. The main reason he left was because he was burnt out from the grind of the show and wanted to do other projects like act in plays.

Petersen's still one of the producers, so he might as well show his face every now and then if it will boost the show's ratings or help the storyline.

I know why Gil stays away so much, his mom is a raging bitch

Speaking of, they haven't really set anything up plot-wise for her departure. I wonder if they are going to just off her like Warrick.

Bring Vassey back! :)

Katee Sackoff's Facebook page said this was her last episode. That's too bad. They didn't write her out of the show, so I guess she could come back.

I forgot all about her. How many was she on? I only recall seeing her once before.

I never liked Starbuck as a brunette.

Yikes, last night's episode was the worst CSI episode ever.

Well, there goes CSI's ratings for the under 14 female demographic. :D

What a weird coincidence how Justin Bieber turns up again on CSI right in the middle of the media blitz for his movie.

One of the few episodes I liked this season. It wasn't your run-of-the-mill, solve-the-murder-in-an-hour episode.

^ Same here -- really enjoyed this week's episode though. I think I am "Bieber'd out" this week though -- first the Bieber-themed Glee and then CSI. Need a break...;)

Agreed. I do think they could have handled the "red-shirt" situation a little better

Although CSI trials are usually ridiculous, this one was simply stupid. At best, he'd be committed to permanent psychiatric prison care.

And Bieber's acting was terrible. Atrocious line delivery.

Wow, what an intense storyline with Nick. That intro with Doc was something else. Probably the strongest of the season. Too bad the b "cat" story was fucking garbage. I get it served to bring Melinda Clarke back in, but it really dragged down the strength of the main story.
