80K in debt? That's nothing.

Sadly, there's more to this than money. When you're depressed and/or suicidal, money doesnt really come into play. Its more of a chemical thing.

I think it is a persona, because on Kitchen Nightmares, he actually seems like a well meaning guy in helping those places

Plus the guy who offed himself was arrested recently and treated for cocaine addiction. Ramsay did nothing but help the guy. He has been known to rescue and place chefs within his vast network if the restaurant he tried to help eventually fails and has been described as a generous mentor by many of his students. Don't confuse the character he plays as a host of a cooking show with the real guy he is.

The guy had a wife and three kids and was deep in debt, and just exits the world leaving his family holding the bag financially and emotionally. Forget Ramsey, I know who the real asshole is here.

The guy was fucking coward. Again, was it even feasible for this asshole to file for bankruptcy I wonder. I would rather lose my business and have my credit ruined but still have a family that loves and cares about me then be lying 6 feet under and now having my wife and relatives deal with my debt.

Not making excuses and I actually agree with everything you said, but I don't think people that commit suicide think rationally.
