Thought the episode was uneven...but Heather Morris...oh my. Those were better than the Britney videos b/c she's a better dancer.

Heather Morris was awesome tonight.
That may have been my least favorite Lea Michele performance of the series. Those outfits she wore really showed how much weight she lost, yikes.

The thing with these theme episodes is the music drives the plot instead of the other way around.
I don't like the vying for Emma plotline. I do like Stamos though.

I'm not a Spears hater or anything but the only number I really liked was the first one, and mostly because Britney looked amazing. The assembly/sex riot number wasn't bad either I guess. Hit Me and the Brit/Santana song seemed like cheap remakes of the original videos. The girls looked good and all, but they didn't add anything.
And to be honest I FF through most of Arty's song and all of Racheal's ballad.
On the plus side Stamos was great, as were the many one liners from Britney.

I really wanted to like this episode, but this was unfortunately a misfire.
This episode was more like a collection of vignettes and cheap Britney music video remakes with no cohesive story whatsoever. Brittany/Heather Morris had some good one-liners & I loved her dancing, but most of this was just painful to watch. The remake of Me against the Music was okay and both girls looked great, but there was no reason for Santana to go to the dentist. I think this is a prime example of what Glee was in serious danger of doing, writing episodes to music/artists than writing good stories and incoporating music that fits in.
And to top it off, we get another over the top Rachel ballad to wrap it up.
The only music number that I thought worked was Toxic during the assembly where Will got to sing.
unfortunately for this episode.
BTW, did Sue catch the nerdy Jewish guy masturbating to Rachel in the library?

God, I am getting so SO SICK of Rachel closing every episode with some overemoted power ballad. Surely the creators know people are sick of her? Why do they keep doing it? God, why?!
On another note, did anyone notice the one background dancer during Rachel's "Hit me baby" cover with the crazy-defined abs? They were terribly distracting. I've never seen such abs on a woman.

That said, this happened last season too. The other characters will get their focus, but like it or not, Rachel and Finn are the "stars" of the show as far as the kids go.

Ep felt uneven to me. They really tried too hard to make the plot fit around the songs and it just didn't work for me. Heather Morris was amazing, though. I liked John Stamos too, but Will really came off like an idiot, which I didn't like. Sue was in good form, as usual. And can I just say that having a kid in a wheelchair on the football team is just about the stupidest fucking plot device ever? So ridiculous. Really hoping they drop that quick.

This episode started out okay, but then it got weaker as it went along. Won't lie, enjoyed the early numbers, but it just felt out of focus or just lost its way, plus the whole dentist-induced dreams gave me a creepy dentist vibe at times. Will's subplot practically stopped any momentum the episode had going for it.

The Brit/Santana vid was the visual equivalent of watching Hendrix play guitar, while Linda McCartney shakes a tambourine in the background. What was Santana's contribution? Pointing a cane.

The Britney numbers were boring. I could have gone on Youtube and watched the music videos. And you can tell that Lea probably wouldn't make a good "bubblegum pop" singer. Her Hit Me Baby sounded weird.
And, I like Brittany, but she is much better in small doses. Jacob is officially more annoying than ever.
Liked the Leave 'Brittany' alone reference...three years later.
Artie on the football team? Kill me now.

Plus it looked like Santana was half a foot shorter, and the symmetry looked off in their scenes together.

Brittany much better in small doses, but it was fun to see her in the spot light for more dancing... I know it wont be, but I really wish the insert-artist's-name-here-centric episodes were over with. So does Rachel's test of Finn come back to haunt her in the future or was that an off scene?

The "music videos" were lame (regardless of how awesome Heather Morris is).
Great one-liners from Brittany and Santana throughout the episode.
Rachel's "music video" was horrible in every way.
The pep rally song and performance was good, but the reaction from the audience was dumb.
Rachel's ballad was weak. My wife likes the song... but I don't.
I'm tired of the Will/Emma story, especially since it hasn't changed at all (replacing the old football coach with the dentist...)
