Introducing the first DVDTalk Amazing Race Game!
(Because us gamblers on the board can’t get enough…)

Here are the rules that we’ve been using for these games as they seem to be most fair to everyone and not based on the speed of your Internet connection:

• PM JuryDuty with your top 11 picks in order of preference.
• Once I confirm your picks have been received, PayPal $2.25 to the address I send you. Please use the “personal gift” option to avoid fees.
• Your spot will NOT be locked in until I receive BOTH your picks and payment.
• On Saturday at 8pm EST (or when all teams are taken, whichever comes first), everyone’s picks will be randomly shuffled and everyone will get their top pick that hasn’t already been claimed. Hopefully you get someone you like, but if not, that’s the breaks and they may go far anyway. Historically in these games, we’ve found that it’s VERY hard to predict who will make it far in the game, let alone win, so don’t sweat it.
• If any teams are left unchosen come Saturday at 8pm EST, current players have the option to buy a second team on a first-come, first-served basis.
• If any teams are left unchosen by Sunday at 8pm EST (show premiere), they will REMAIN unchosen throughout the season. If an unchosen team wins, the player with the closest team to winning wins the money.
• If you pick the winner, you get a $22.50 Amazon gift certificate! (Was $25, but one spot was left untaken.)

Hey all,

Time's up and the picks are in! After a random shuffle, I was actually surprised to see that SIX people got their #1 pick. Unfortunately, the other four got their 4th-7th picks. But if you've played any of these games before, you know that at this point it's all a gamble anyway--so your team may do good even if they weren't your first choice!

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that the team with two women who barely know each other wasn't picked.

Still, I think they'll do better than the a capella guys. Those guys are doomed once they realize they can't sing their way out of any of the challenges.

Oh man, Groucho! Out before it even got much underway. Honestly, I was surprised they fell behind. They were doing great.

I don't know about that--they seemed VERY smart and capable the entire leg. Unless they get a very bad taxi, my guess is they'll be around a while.

d-bag boyfriends with anger issues almost always seem to last long into the season. Though running miles/km around the castle looking for the pit stop doesn't bode well.

Thanks, I wasn't expecting a non-elim this early in the season. The real problem with my team was the same as some of the others that couldn't see the broad side of a barn!
