Definitely will be checking this out. Looks very promising from the list of talent attached to it.

Can't wait for this one. Buscemi finally getting to be the leading man. Thrilled that Marty is directing the first ep.

Definitely had the Scorsese style. Good opening, but still has room for development. I like how they're taking the approach of this being kind of a prequel to suit all gangster movies. I can only imagine how much money was spent on sets, which were quite impressive.

I wonder if all episodes are going to have that style, as usually the pilot sets the tone for the rest of the series.

Wow this show was great. I'd been looking forward to it like many others since I heard about it and it didn't let me down. I think after a long period of just so-so series HBO finally has something that's really worth watching again.

I've never been a Michael Pitt fan and he really seemed miscast to me in this.
Otherwise it was very well done.

I really liked it. Only things unclear to be were
a) How come Nucky was so okay with Jimmy after the heist? I mean didn't he essentially rip him off AND get the Feds sniffing around?
b) Why did they kill the fat and jolly Italian man?

Colosimo, the guy who got wacked at the end, didn't want any part of bootlegging. That part was based off of true events.

As good a first episode as I've seen. I loved every bit of it, even Michael Pitt who I always considered very bland.
Was that Omar Little in Nucky's waiting room?

Pitt seemed to be Scorsese's age appropriate replacement for DiCaprio. It's all I could see the entire time.
Outside of the bad CGI in the shoreline shots I thought it was pretty damn near perfect.
