The Walking Dead trailer does look really good... but isn't the story of the guy waking up in the hospital to discover the zombies have decimated everything the EXACT SAME PLOT of "28 Days Later"? I mean, how are they not being sued?

I don't know much about it but isn't it based off of an old graphic novel or book or something? I'm assuming that was even before 28 Days Later.

This may be true.... shouldn't George Romero be getting royalties from ALL of these zombie movies? Didn't he kind of invent the concept?

I am so tired of seeing commercials for The Event and The Chase. Enough already.
I will check out No Ordinary Family.

The comic started in 2003, a year after 28 Days Later was released.

I don't get the allure of a weekly zombie TV show.

This is one of the weakest slate of new TV dramas in a long time, glad to get some personal time back for the 2010-2011 TV season.

I agree with you, although the trailer looks pretty good.

Might check out the superhero family show since I like Michael Chiklis.

Looking forward to The Event and Undercovers. I love Jimmy Smits so I might have to check out Outlaw.

Boardwalk Empire.

The Walking Dead is a close second.

Nothing else I'm really interested in after those two.

That's because you haven't read the comic.

Re: Which New Fall Drama are you most anticipating?

I think the premise of No Ordinary Family sounds great. With Berlanti producing, I expect the Family to be first. The premise (Zombies) will turn off the female demo and the execution (Family) will turn off the geek crowd. Not enough viewers left to support the show on network TV. I also expect any attempts at humor to be kind of weak, but heart warming.

To succeed it is going to have to tap into the dark side ... Picket Fences style.

I will definitely check out the event, but I'm also starting to be very interested in seeing how Undercovers turns out. It looks like it could be a lot of fun depending on big picture plots and characters. However, if it's just joint case of the week then I think it will get old quick.

My top 5:

The Walking Dead
Boardwalk Empire
Terriers
Luther
Hawaii Five-0

I am also looking forward to both Lone Star and L&O: Los Angeles. Not looking forward to Undercovers (like I should be), but still plan on checking it out.

+1

Anyone anticipating Hawaii Five-O more than Boardwalk Empire needs to be taken out back and shot.

Re: Which New Fall Drama are you most anticipating?

I voted for "The Event", but did not really read the list thoroughly. Like most, I anticipate this will probably be a big disappointment.

Walking Dead will definitely get a look since it's on AMC. That would probably be my vote, just BECAUSE it's on AMC. Luther (is that Martin Luther?) will also get a look since it's on BBC. I will also check out Terriers (not expecting too much), Undercovers (expect to be decent) and Nikita.

Hawaii Five-O -- Usually reboots like this do no work. Everyone is expecting something that reminds them of the original show and it usually fails. I might check this out, but usually on Mondays, I have little time for experimentation since more good shows air on that night than any other.

Re: Which New Fall Drama are you most anticipating?

The Walking Dead is my most anticipated, but I am also looking forward to Boardwalk Empire and Blue Bloods (terrible timeslot though). I might also try out Hawaii Five-O as that trailer was pretty good. I was going to try out L&O: LA, but my dislike for Terrence Howard will keep me away - a shame since I like Alfred Molina.

I was going to check out Terriers and Nikita but their trailers were terrible so I will wait to see thoughts on episodes as they play out and then catch up if they receive positive reviews. My hopes aren't high for either, though.

I watched the pilot for No Ordinary Family and initially decided to keep up with it, but I think I'm just not even going to start with it.

All in all this means that I will probably end up watching only one of the shows faithfully.

Did you watch the trailer I posted on the previous page?

It's a 6 episode British Police drama with Idris Elba playing someone named John Luther. It's making it's U.S. premiere in October. Some posters here saw it through alternative means earlier this year since it already aired in the UK.

Unless your over 40 or watched the original show through the DVD's I don't think most TV viewers have much knowledge of the original series other than casually hearing the name or the theme song. I'm looking at this as a brand new show with the exception of using a few characters names from the original.

Boardwalk Empire - nothing comes close.
I've seen Luther - It's phenomenal.. only 6 episodes though.. Quality Stuff.

only other one I'll check out is Terriers, because of Donal Logue, and Kurt Sutter has been pushing it some.

Luther was awesome, I highly recommend it. I hope they make a second season.
