Pretty terrible plot lines this season for sure, not really enjoying any of them. Especially don't dig ugly, untalented porn stars or tequila infomercials.

Even more painful was Amanda completely destroying him, especially since it was a complete reversal of what's gone on so far.

I guess they showed Turtle playing WII just so we know how much weight he's lost.

Best scene was Drama getting calmed down by E's secretary. Too bad he missed the Johnny Bananas party though, it looked like fun.

Worse than that they showed Turtle working out so they could show off Microsoft Xbox Kinnect (or whatever it is called.)

Come on. Still with the product placement complaining? So they can't even play Xbox without people bitching? Every season of Entourage has at least one episode of the guys playing Xbox. That's what guys do.

I second that. I feel Turtle should just jump on board with Cuban and co. and then tell Carlos to go fuck himself. He lived up to his part, and now Carlos wants to back peddle. Of course that wouldn't be in keeping with Turtle's character, so doubt it.

Ari finding the hidden Blackberry was great, but the rest of this ep. felt kind of forced. Sasha is a bitch, and Vince shouldn't be wasting his time with her.

I still wonder what Billy Walsh has to do with all of this, he seems like he knows something and has a part to play.

I would've let it slide if Kinect was released a few months ago, but as usual the timing of these things aren't coincidental as the thing isn't even out for another month. This is Entourage... been done many times before. Sorry, if it walks like a duck...

And I'll ask again...what's the big deal? So Turtle was playing Kinect, which apparently is a new video game thing. Why wouldn't Vince have the newest video game? Celebrities get things before they're released all the time. And besides, it was a 3 second scene. How does it affect the enjoyment of the episode? It's not like Turtle said "Wow this kinect is great. Everybody should buy one." And even if he did...big deal. Again, why would it detract from the episode?

That is hilarious - I have a Wii and a 360 (AND a PS3), and I guess I'd be considered a "gamer", but I totally thought he was playing some Wii balance board game or something - that he was using a 360/Kinect never even crossed my mind - goes to show how shitty the Kinect games look...

If you had to put up with subtle plugs for an hour there may be a case to be made but it's not.

I think you're making it a big deal... but the minor issue to me is that it takes you out of the moment. It makes you think "product placement" instead of "this is just what guys do". The Kinect thing doesn't bother me nearly as much as the constant "THIS TEQUILA IS SOOOOOO GOOD" bullshit that the show's been spewing for 5 weeks. F*CK!!! We get it already!

So does it take you out of the moment when you see somebody watching tv on a Panasonic tv? Or driving a Toyota? Vince was driving around in a Ferrari. I think E drives a Maserati. Ari has had a Lexus, BMW and Mercedes. How bout when they're drinking Budweiser? What about when somebody listens to an Ipod, or uses an Iphone or Blackberry? Every single time Ari uses his phone I guess that's product placement for Blackberry.

I mean seriously Entourage isn't the only show or movie to have real products in them. Frankly I find it more annoying when I see somebody drinking a "Cola" rather than a Coke or Pepsi. I find that way more distracting.

I don't mean to get on a soapbox here, but I just don't understand the bitching about product placement. Ok, I'll give you the annoying tequila thing. We all know that's just a way for the one guy's buddy to get a BUNCH of free advertising and it's a pretty boring, stupid subplot, but I'm more annoyed at the stupid plot than the tequila advertising. I don't even like tequila so I'm not going to buy it. However, if you really start looking for it, there are real products in all kinds of shows and movies, so what's the big deal? Like I said, it's way more annoying when they go out of their way to NOT have product placement and just have generic items in the show like cola or beer.

I don't think there is any doubt about the product placements people are talking about here. If everyone names the same couple without prompting, that is pretty damning. No one is mentioning seeing somebody pull up in a particluar car, or having a certain TV on in the background. This isn't Vince walking down a hallway sipping a Coke while Drama talks to him. This is watching Turtle, by himself, playing video games. How does watching Turtle play Kinect for 15 seconds further the plot or make you laugh? Maybe they can strike a deal with Kohler and we can suffer through him dropping trou next episode.

No, existing products don't bother me. It's the new shit that Microsoft is pitching or this over-done tequila thing.
I do agree with you that "cola" or blacked out car logos are more annoying than the actual label... but when a company throws it in my face, I kinda of take exception to it. It seems that Entourage has been one big infomercial for Avion and has devised a plot for the characters around it.

Yup. I'll admit that the Avion thing is getting old...or has already gotten old. I just try to put it out of my mind when I'm watching, but yeah it's old, but moreso because it's simply a stupid subplot.

I just didn't see the big deal about Turtle playing Xbox. I think somebody else mentioned that it was a way to so how much weight he's lost. At very first glance I thought it was Drama for a split second. The dude that plays Turtle actually looks like he's in pretty good shape now. Good for him. And besides, I wouldn't exactly call that good product placement if no mention of the product was made and most people here seemed to think that he was playing Wii.

Yeah, I hate to keep harping on it, but this season just sucks. I wish they would have ended the series after last season and left the 12 week commercial on the cutting room floor.
