Sure some shows don't offer the closure that'd we'd like to have, but for me it's impossible for a finale that doesn't measure up to take away the joy I received as I watched all the previous episodes/seasons.
This made me giggle. When you get to the final season, your tune will be different.

Or he'll love it. If you look at the Lost Finale poll there were significantly more people that liked the finale then hated it. It's just that the minority was much more vocal.

Yes, you should watch it, if only for this guy!

Absolutely not. While I didn't completely love the BSG ending, it fit and worked with everything that had come before. I had no real problem with it.

Some people have said that those that didn't love the Lost finale wouldn't have been satisfied with anything and that is not true at all.

BSG was well written and followed through with the story lines regardless of whether or not you liked how it was resolved. Lost was all over the place and did a rough bender on it's audience.

So...I have to ask...what does YALT mean in this thread's title? I looked it up online and found:

"Young Adult Life Transitions Program"
and
"Youth Advocates Leadership Training"
and
"Yet Another Localization Technique"

Something tells me that wasn't the OP's message...

EDIT: I found it: "Yet Another Lumberjack Thread"

Yet Another Let's Run Around in Circles with Some People Saying LOST was a Great Character-Driven Drama and Others Saying it Answered None of the Mysteries as Promised and was a Complete Waste of Six Years of My Life Thread; A Thread Which Will Change Nobody's Mind.

No. Spend all that time watching something else.

Watch Firefly instead. Just figured I would say that since I recently ran through the entire show run again. It's only 14 episodes plus a movie as well.

"The Long Con"

You've stumbled into my LOST theory: that the whole thing was a con set up by Sawyer. He took us all!

(P.S. "The Long Con" was the title of an episode of the show. And I actually recommend watching the whole series because the ride is fun even if the end is a big disappointment.)

Which is utterly shocking to me. It was one of the dumbest hours of television I've seen yet. I know the ending of Battlestar Galactica is slighted by many, but at least it left us with something to think about in regards to the spiritual elements that it incorporated throughout it's run.
Spoiler:
Did the Colonials actually possess the free will that was so important to them or was a divine hand guiding them the whole time?

Lost? Oh, no.
Spoiler:
The dolts who ran the show into the ground chose to have the characters meet up in a church in limbo that filled with holy light as they finally went to the afterlife together.

Gag me. An insulting finale made even worse by the constant protests by Darlton & fans that it was all about the cliched archetypes that they referred to as "characters."
