Why were Baywatch reruns shown on Comedy Central last week, now that the Hoff Roast has aired they stopped showing them.

If you have CC they'll be playing it about 8 times a day for the rest of the week.

I believe you can see clips on comedycentral.com too

well, that explains his years on SNL then.

Even IF that was the intended purpose, it was terribly unfunny.
Dude, you missed the point. It was intentional and he was making fun of what people do at roasts, hence the inane and childish put downs.

The only two good roasters over the past few years are Greg Giraldo and Jeff Ross, everyone else usually sucks because they aren't comedians and can't deliver a good joke.

And Lisa Lampanelli's schtick has gotten old on these roasts. Ok, we get it, you have a big vagina and you f*** black guys. It was funny in the first roast a few years back, but its the same shit everytime now.

I still love Giraldos joke on George Hamilton, "You're like Tang, you're orange, and nobody has given a shit about you since the 1970's!"

I don't know what is tiring me out the most...the jokes about Lisa Lampanelli that are the same retread jokes over and over again or the fact that she laughs uproariously at each one as if is a new and brilliant joke she heard for the first time. It's about as annoying as Kevin Eubanks when he's laugh at every stupid thing Jay Leno said.

I believe it is a totally contrived laugh when she falls out of her seat after every joke about her. That way she can show she has a sense of humor and nothing bothers her. Now if she really thinks the same joke over and over are that hysterical, then she really is a lame comic.

Re: The Comedy Central Roast --> "David Hasselhoff" --> 8/15/10

Finally got a chance to watch this earlier. It was alright, but nothing amazing. I did lose it when Cummins told Pam Anderson to drink Magic Johnson's blood..and then tell Hogan to have his daughter do the same

Giraldo was good as I expected, KITT's appearance was awesome. Lampaneli needs to just fall off the earth already, her laughs every few seconds were so fucking annoying. Why all the gay jokes on Hogan? Im surprised they didnt go the steroid-path or incest-path.

I wonder who the next z-lister will be to get roasted... maybe Lindsay Lohan?? If shes still alive by that time.

Saw the Whitney Cummings stand up special last night on Comedy central. She looks much, much prettier on that stand up than when she appeared on the Hoff's roast. Plus, her set was actually very funny!

I was pretty disappointed with her one hour show. I expected a lot of extremely daring, off color comedy like she delivers on roasts and she used to deliver on "Chelsea Lately", but most of her act was typical men-and-women-are-different schtick. It certainly wasn't bad, but I was hoping for much more.

I didn't think this was as good as some of the past ones but my god, Gilbert Gottfried's turn was hilarious.

as usual, the people who do this frequently, killed. Lisa, Gilbert, Jeff Ross and Greg Giraldo. Whitney Cummings is slowly creeping up there, too. I'm pissed they cut a ton of her stuff. Pussies at CC.

Giraldo was great.

Or maybe you're just a Norm fanboy who would laugh at anything he says. Just sayin'

In the end it doesn't matter, because even if you view his set with that prospective it still sucked.

when i first saw the Norm thing, I thought he was absolutely off his rocker. I didn't find it very funny, but over time his appearance grew on me and I appreciated it more.

Looking up the history of this, it looks like Comedy Central started off just broadcasting the NY Friar's Club Roast before deciding to go off and do their own thing:

Comedy Central Presents: The N.Y. Friars Club Roast of Drew Carey (1998) (TV)
Comedy Central Presents: The N.Y. Friars Club Roast of Jerry Stiller (1999) (TV)
Comedy Central Presents: The N.Y. Friars Club Roast of Rob Reiner (2000) (TV)
Comedy Central Presents: The N.Y. Friars Club Roast of Hugh Hefner (2001) (TV)
Comedy Central Presents: The N.Y. Friars Club Roast of Chevy Chase (2002) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Denis Leary (2003) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy (2005) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson (2005) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner (2006) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav (2007) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget (2008) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Larry the Cable Guy (2009) (TV)
Comedy Central Roast of Joan Rivers (2009) (TV)

Never said it was amazing, but you did miss the point.
