I thought the same thing, but silver pellets you would not see on screen in a shell, but mini-stakes you did. I would not want to try a wood bullet as the characteristics of wood might give the desired effect/penetration.

This.

As much as people are raving about how great this season is, there has been too much of that above crap for me. I honestly don't even understand what is going on with the Crystal story because I find myself not paying attention to it.

I do love anything with Eric, but the rest of the storylines suck.

^ Still a hundred times better than anything with Maryann last year.

Awesome ending! I've never seen a show jump from joke to epic as fast as True Blood has this season.

It's almost identical to the Maryann story from last season where they just seem to keep repeating themselves over and over so they can delay the reveal of what she is.

My finance says that Russel didn't do that in the book (among other detail with different characters)... its seems to me to be a game changer. I wonder how far they will diverge from the books...

I see Russel pulling a Ben Linus on us: Supposed to only be around for a few eps, but good reception keeps him around much longer. At least I hope.

They need to learn to either move the story forward, or ignore it.

Tommy or Crystal on screen = fast forward. It makes the show so much more enjoyable. Actually, Trueblood is the show that started my habit of fast-forwarding through the crap storylines of a TV show with the Maryann suckfest of last year.

They're doing this with Alcide apparently. I saw a comic-con video where the actor says Ball has asked him to stick around.

There is alot that is different from the Books. They mainly seem to follow the big story and then create their own stuff.

I too hope they find a way to keep Russell around. If not through legit storytelling, them perhaps via flashbacks or nightmares.

Kind of reminded me of that one werewolf movie where the reporter turns into a werewolf on live tv. Silverbullet I think.

Actually, that was the original Howling.

Right. Howling was with ET's mom, and Silver Bullet was the dead Corey in a wheelchair.

This season is so damn good. I enjoyed the first 2 and didn't mind all of the bullshit in season 2, but I have been loving every episode this time around.

Can't wait to see how this thing ends season 3.

I will be depressed when it's done.

This show is getting fucking ridiculous. I'm glad they finally gave in to it.

They really seem to be going for it now, though. I felt like they were holding back in the previous seasons.
