Dez Bryant is going to be a bust.

Really like Hard Knocks but the 2nd episode IMO was one of the worst they've produced in the entire series. It was boring and even the game highlights/footage wasn't exciting. Nothing in the preview for the upcoming episode looked that interesting as well.
I thought it was one of the best shows in the series.

I think the show is at its best when they focus on the players. Namely the young guys fighting for a roster spot, rookies adjusting to life as an NFL pro and how the veterans interact with each other. They haven't done as much of that this season. They seem to have focused more on coaching staff and front office goings on. They have also spent a lot more time on preseason game footage. I still think the Baltimore Ravens season was the best one they've done. I still love the show though.

Some good moments in last nights episode. I enjoy watching them have fun and joke around during practice. I don't really care much about the guys that are working hard and getting cut, because they're getting cut, I won't see them again anyway. I liked the rookie night stuff... Bart Scott with another great line: "Make Revis show up, that'll be a great magic trick".

I do wish they'd do more player profiles though. We heard a lot about Sanchez, Cromartie, Kyle Wilson and LT... I'd like to see how Jason Taylor is adjusting, how Shonne Greene is working toward being a full time starter and his relationship with LT, Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards. They seem to be spending a lot of time on rookies and "on the bubble" guys and not too much time on the guys we know are starting.

That's my only gripe, other then that the show has been great and I love the comedy.

And I know it was from last week, but I was looking for a screenshot or a gif of Kris Jenkins riding in that golf cart with that huge grin on his face. I would do it myself, I just don't know how... can anyone help?

Funny, I was just thinking almost the opposite about those players last night, as in there seemed to be too much time spent on the young rookies/edge players this season. I understand that this is building for the big final cut down payoff, but other than Sanchez and Revis (who is not even shown) if I didn't know already I could barely tell you a veteran Jet players name, that's how little they are mentioned. I seem to remember early seasons following the veteran players to their families and homes to give a taste of what it is like to be in an NFL family, following the fates of older veteran's trying to hang on for another season, that sort of thing. I find that just as interesting as the 10 rookies fighting for two roster spots angle.

Tonight's episode was pretty funny.

The reaction of everyone to Tim Cowlishaw's story on Revis, Rex talking shit to D'Angelo Hall, and the "You look fatter than Rex Grossman" comment were all great:lol:

Agree, the episode had a lot of chuckles. Good one. Is next week the last? I don't remember them going past the start of the regular season.

If ever there was a case of a season-long Hard Knocks this year would be it. Loved the "that's why my brother cut your ass" comment. Then NFL Films shows Hall picking off a pass two plays later.

I think this has been my least favorite of all the seasons of Hard Knocks. Way too much preseason game footage, which we can see anywhere. The only veteran they focused on was Sanchez and his lame pranks. Spent to much time on the front office's contract battle with Revis.

Yep, easily the worst season they've done.

Too much stuff about the coaches and signing Revis. The past few seasons they actually had an arch every episode updating everyone of specific rookies and veterans, this season there was nothing. Where was the look into Kris Jenkins' comeback? Why didn't they go into the WR battle more in depth?

Also, I could have missed it but why was there no mention of the Jets cutting Tony Richardson? I realized he was re-signed a few days later but still it should have been a focus of the cut day episode.
