Wow! Episode 8 already. This season has flown by. The one good thing about the season ending is that Boardwalk Empire will be close to premiering.

From True Blood's FB page:

Some nights, True Blood "goes there" when you're least expecting it to. Tonight will be one of those nights. Excited?
So far they have lived up to what they have promised for this season.. I'm definitely looking forward to tonights episode!

What do they mean by "going there?"

Re: True Blood -- "Night on the Sun" -- 08/08/10

Oh, that's what they meant.....

One thing you can definitely say about this season that differentiates from last, it's actually gaining momentum as it nears the end.

BTW, while I have always been team Eric, I now firm in my stance. I'm not gay, but DAMN!!!!

EDIT: would you identify what Bill and Sookie were doing at the end as passionate sex, or hate fucking? Seemed to border on the latter.

I agree... This season more than makes up for last. Loved Jessica at the end.

Re: True Blood -- "Night on the Sun" -- 08/08/10

So Sam didn't know either of the meth cooks, but they knew he was a shifter and they knew Tommy's name. I'm guessing from the younger meth head's scars that he has fought Tommy in the ring before, but I have no idea how they know about Sam.

Once again the only shitty part of the episode was when Tara was on screen. She's either angry or frightened (cue annoying lip quiver), nothing in between.

I think he knew Tommy's name, because Sam said something like "Calm down Tommy."

Overall, another great episode! I'm loving where this season is going, and is already setting up for the "new additions" for season 4. For once this was an episode where I actually wasnt getting annoyed by Bill. I also loved him teaching Jessica how to defend herself.

Damn, Hadley was looking real good when Eric got her!

Yeah, you're right. I just watched the scene again and Sam did say his name.

Hopefully this is the last we'll see of "Vampires vs werewolves" because there sure hasn't been much of a contest whenever these two fight....And like Dr. DVD, this episode made me a lil' gay.

Re: True Blood -- "Night on the Sun" -- 08/08/10

I think my only one complaint for tonights episode was how Sookie and Bill "break up" at the beginning of the episode and are "back together" at the end of the episode.

I think the part that made me laugh the hardest was during the Vampire/Were fight, when the were is running and you hear Jessica say "Dont you run from me" or something like that

I didn't realize that not much time has past between season 1 and now, I was surprised when Rene popped up in Arlene's dream.

I was nervous there for a second that they were going to kill off Jessica.

When they showed Hoyt driving the truck and then the camera panning over, I was afraid we were gonna see the were killing Jessica... thank god that didnt happen!

What a 180 this episode did! I thought the beginning was WAY too Dawson's Creek, and then the last half just blew my freakin' mind! Vintage True Blood!!

This season kicks the shit out of last. I think this show is pulling a Desperate Housewives, lol

Yeah, it's only been like 3 months or less in their time and it might even be something like 1 month.

Loved the episode and I can't wait to see what the Vampire head-honcho does.

What's the point of the werewolves? They don't seem to be a threat to anyone. A mature werewolf can't handle baby vampire Jessica?

Well, there was that scene of Bill and Jessica training by throwing each other around the living room, so she did have some preparation. And besides, hasn't it been implied throughout the season that vampires don't hold werewolves in high esteem? I doubt they're viewed as a big threat.

If Arlene isn't showing, it's been, tops, 4 months. I'm very unsure of the timeline as well. Is that still Mud on Sookies house from Maryanne?
