It aired back in the 80's...I'd say roughly around the same time period as Police Squad!...and one thing I remembered most is one of the characters always had a refrigerator full of bottles of Dr. Pepper. What was it?

I vaguely remember this too. Maybe Silver Spoons?

That would be the right time period. I know it's not Silver Spoons...the show I remembered was actually funny and worth seeking out (but not having much luck tracking down Filthy Rich anywhere!)
