Re: LAST COMIC STANDING summer 2010
I stopped watching this season awhile ago and only tuned in last night to see Iliza Shlesinger (Luckily she was on in the first 15 minutes)
My first thought when I started watching was "How come none of the funny ones made it to the final five?"

I remember reading an article where it questioned if she had an enhancement. They had shots of her earlier in the show and then towards the middle/end and there was an easily noticeable increase.
I thought I had cancelled this show off my dvr, but I guess not. Just finished watching the performances and wow. Andy was barely funny, Natasha was terrible, Greg atleast was funny. Poor Iliza, has she even been heard of since that season ended? Ive seen some of the other contestants on stuff (Jon Reep, Lavell, Gabriel Iglesias, Adam Hunter, Marcus all have been in stuff), but completely forgot about her.

Myq Kaplan was my favorite. I have noticed that most smart comedians rarely win any stand-up competition.
I can't believe they dragged this out for two hours when one was more than enough.

I was surprised that Andy was funny at all. I couldn't get through his Comedy Central special. Natasha was OK and Greg was OK. Greg's Comedy Central special was fair, worth watching but not great.

If the show stays like this for next season, I wont be tuning in. I've said it before and Ill say it again, this season was absolutely terrible.

Re: LAST COMIC STANDING summer 2010
I think the funniest stand up on the finale was the guy from the Marriage Ref. I've never seen him do stand up before and I can't stand the Marriage Ref, so it completely surprised me I would actually find him funny.
My favorite comedians on this season were voted off before the finale. The only one in the top five I cared for was Myq Kaplan. I also liked Jonathan Thymius and there was one I forget the name of...a tall guy with a buzz cut and horn rimed glasses with a rather dry sense of humor that appealed to me. His name escapes me now, but he was booted off early on.

I liked his first set but I quickly tired of him. He actually made it pretty far though all the way to the semi-finals.

Yeah, I'd never heard of him until this season, and thought he was terrible unfunny and hacky during the auditions (the "when you come back I want to see you wearing..." schtick didn't make me crack a smile the first time he said it and by the 50th time I wanted to punch his lights out). Reading more about him he has some astute, pointed observations about why other comedians suck, but I find it a bit ironic since I don't find him funny either.

Myq Kaplan was an 'extra' in a scene (outside a comedy club) in an episode of Louis CK's new series. He was probably the best, most seasoned comic on the show this year. Dont understand the stupid spelling of his 1st name though.
Andy Kindler is on Letterman once in a while. He's never that funny. The girl judge? Who the hell is she? Never heard of her before. Greg Giraldo is a good comic.

This probably deserves it's own thread, but it was reported that comic Mike DeStefano passed away last night of a cardiac "event". I believe he placed 4th on last season's Last Comic Standing. He was only 44. I wonder if he'll bump into Greg Geraldo?
