Total kiss ass, especially with that lame Hell's Kitchen tattoo.
I'm surprised at the few of you who are disenchanted with the show. As I said last week, yeah alot of it is lame and blatantly fake/scripted, but Gordon's losing his mind is what makes the show fun. It's also best not to take this show as a serious cooking competition like the Next Food Network Star or Top Chef. I'm still loving it.

Yay, I called it. Ciao, crazy-haired dude.
I think the screening for the candidates is becoming more and more people on the bottom edge of sanity than people who can actually cook. The "farmer" dude who walked out who likes to butcher animals...? Yeah, I don't want to eat anything he's cooked.
Next week looks fun. Autumn is a total jerk. Would like to see her ousted. I actually like the girl who burned her salmon, she seems halfway sane.

I don't think they're showing the entire story, because there was no reason for Jason to be the choice for the men last night. I see that he's gonna go crazy next week, but I didn't see a reason last night to warrant his being on the front line instead of Mohawky. I thought Ramsay wasn't going to send anyone home because butcher boy walked out.

Autumn will be there a while methinks. In the first episode, they had a montage of things to come and they showed her climbing into a jacuzzi with Jason. I personally haven't really found any of these cats to be likable, at least on the women's side. Don't know much about the men since Salvatore and Jason seem to get most of the air time.

It's the same complaints every season. I watch it because I love this formula and I love seeing Ramsay get pissed. Also, Autumn is hot. We need good eye candy.
That Maria chick is reminding me of that girl (Stephanie? something like that) from last season who made it to the Top 4 or Top 5 then got the boot although she was probably one of the most annoying contestants ever.

Great fucking episode. Lots of laughs.
Ramsay to Jay: Hey Blue Jay, go upstairs and get Bozo.
Wow, that Andrew guy is a fucking whack job. Loved it when Ramsay told him off and said your a fucking joke to the industry. That's just embarrassing that he would have the balls to serve the soupy mashed potatoes and then talk back to Ramsay.
Jason (the black guy) was pretty funny:
"I took it like a man, and started over with a new chicken"

at Siobhan for losing it at the egg challenge for only cooking 1 egg in 5 minutes and then throwing Autumn under the bus. What a stupid girl.
at the girls for throwing up Autumn without even a good reason to.
Buh bye Mohawk dude or Mikey!!

I agree, it's the same formula every season and IMO it works and is still fun. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Seriously, if your watching this expecting a top notch cooking show like Top Chef, then your watching it for the wrong reasons. Gordon getting pissed off in the kitchen always cracks me up.

I believe the whole premise is to turn normal people with light cooking backgrounds into top notch chefs.

Hilarious, as expected.
Siobhan needed to be the one to go, though. She's likely being kept around for potential drama... how shocking!
Glad to see that whack job Andrew gone - he was one weird mf'er.
What's up with Master Chef? Is this basically Hell's Kitchen without Gordon chewing off everyone's face? Pass. That's the best part of watching him!

"MASTERCHEF" PREMIERES TUESDAY, JULY 27, ON FOX
Gordon Ramsay stars in MASTERCHEF, the new series that takes amateur chefs - many of whom simply cook as a hobby - and attempt to turn one of them into a culinary master. Contestants on MASTERCHEF will be put through the paces with various challenges as they compete head-to-head to create delicious dishes. The series will serve as a unique platform for people from all walks of life who want to follow their dream of working as a professional chef. These contestants will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to show their passion and excitement for food as their skills and palate are tested with the hopes of becoming the winner of MASTERCHEF.
Gordon Ramsay Reveals Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot Bowles
as Fellow Judges on New Culinary Competition Series
Gordon Ramsay announced that restaurateur wine maker Joe Bastianich and four-star chef Graham Elliot Bowles will join him as judges on MASTERCHEF, premiering Tuesday, July 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Bastianich is a partner of Mario Batali and has established some of New York's most-celebrated restaurants, including Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca, Lupa Osteria Romana and Del Posto. Bowles is the youngest four-star chef in the U.S. and the mastermind behind Chicago's first "bistronomic" restaurant, Graham Elliot. With Ramsay at the helm of the competition, Bastianich and Bowles will coach and judge the contestants along the way.
"I'm hugely excited to have Joe and Graham join me as judges on MASTERCHEF," said Ramsay. "Both bring a phenomenal wealth of expertise and professional experience to the show."
Joe Bastianich opened his first restaurant, Becco, with his mother, Lidia, in 1993. Soon after, he partnered with Mario Batali, and together they have established some of New York's most-celebrated restaurants, including Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca, Lupa Osteria Romana, Esca, Casa Mono, Bar Jamón, Otto Enoteca Pizzeria and Del Posto. Expanding their horizons beyond Manhattan, Bastianich and Batali opened Enoteca San Marco, B&B Ristorante and Carnevino in Las Vegas and Pizzeria Mozza and Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles. The duo also purchased a vineyard in Italy with the goal of creating the world's finest wines and olive oils. Their latest venture, a revolutionary retail food concept called Eataly, will be debuting this summer in New York. Eataly will be a resto-market featuring the best of Italy - from Italian products to Italian dining. Bastianich is an accomplished author whose passion for the culinary arts has been recognized with professional awards from Bon Appétit magazine and the James Beard Foundation.
Chef Graham Elliot Bowles is the culinary mastermind behind Chicago's first "bistronomic" restaurant, Graham Elliot, which tempers four-star cuisine with humor and accessibility. In a very short time, the 33-year-old chef has accrued accolades, including Best New Chef in 2004 from Food & Wine magazine and three James Beard Nominations. At age 27, Bowles was the youngest four-star chef in America. In May 2008, he opened the aptly named Graham Elliot, a restaurant that would not only bear his name, but become an extension of his passionate personality embodying his core principles of humility, courage, vision, respect and focus. He is also the chef/culinary ambassador for Lollapalooza, a three-day music festival, in which he cooks for bands backstage as well as oversees all of the restaurants at the Lollapalooza Chow Town.
MASTERCHEF is produced by Reveille, Shine TV and One Potato Two Potato and is based on a format created by Franc Roddam and Shine TV. Shine International handles distribution for the MASTERCHEF format. Elisabeth Murdoch, Franc Roddam, Mark Koops, Howard T. Owens, Gordon Ramsay, Adeline Ramage Rooney, Pat Llewellyn, J.D. Roth and Todd Nelson serve as executive producers.

I think they had a valid reason. Cooking abilities aside, as has been said on the show, she's not a team player, she shirks responsibility, and she butts in where she isn't wanted.
She's attractive until she opens her mouth and pronounces on her greatness.

Ramsay seemed surprised that the two of them were chosen and was probably thinking "WTH is going on in the dorms?!"

Hilarous as always. Soupy mash potatoes, overly sensitive crying girl, and lots of swearing!
I hope they continue to preview the recap so we can recap the recap of what we just saw 3 minutes ago. If anyone buy's the dvd's you'll notice after they take out all that bullshit, the episodes are like 30-33 mintues long!
The best fake reality competition show ever!

Me, I don't know.
