Series Finales: What's your vote for Least/Most Satisfying?
So which big series finales have you found to be the
It's not a contest, so more than one title per category is fine. And if you want to throw in your own category, go for it.. Also if you can, give a few thoughts why you felt the way you did (but for the sake of potential new viewers please confine any commentary over plot specifics to inside spoiler tags)
I know there has to be another thread here with this same topic, but I searched and nothing came up so....
- Most Satisfying
- Least Satisfying
- Most Creative

Most satisfying: Wonderfalls
Least satisfying -- this category gets two divisions -- known departure division: Gilmore Girls (if only by virtue of not seeing the creator's vision for the ending she mentioned she already had written)
Least satisfying -- cancellation/unplanned departure: Newsradio
Most creative: St. Elsewhere wins all here, I believe

I've seen Seinfeld brought up a lot recently but I can't remember much of it beyond

Most Satisfying: "Six Feet Under"
Most Creative: "Dawson's Creek" (while I liked the entire show - I thought the idea of fastforwarding 5 years to give the fans a look at where the characters would be in the future provided a much more fulfilling ending than a standard season finale would have accomplished).

Most satisfying would probably be Six Feet Under or The Wire. Both of those were just incredibly well executed. Least satisfying would probably be X-Files.

Does this include shows that had long runs but didn't get an actual series finale?
I hated that Married... With Children didn't get a proper sendoff. The final episode was pretty lame. My Name Is Earl ended with an unresolved cliffhanger.
MacGyver and Quantum Leap had decent, if not completely satisfying endings.
I liked 8th season finale of Scrubs, and felt it was a great sendoff to the show. Then they went and made Season 9.

* Most Satisfying -- 6 Feet Under, Angel
* Least Satisfying -- Lost
* Most Creative -- Newhart, Angel
Seinfeld wasn't all that bad. But that was the FIRST ep. of Seinfeld I had ever seen and the characters had not real meaning to me.
MASH was good, but I didn't really like the Hawkeye crazy bit.

I don't remember how MacGyver ended but the finale to Quantum Leap sucked hard.

Most: Six Feet Under, MASH, Cheers
Least: Seinfeld, Roseanne
I also liked the series finales for The Shield and Lost. But I don't think they quite reach the level of those three.
