I know CSI is predictable as hell most of the time, but this should be a good finale.

Great finale. Not a fan of the very end with Ray. Seemed like a very forced cliffhanger, and wasn't needed at all.

Anyway, as for the episode, it was good but once again, like the Miniature Killer, very disappointing about the identity and motives of the killer.

I agree, this storyline could have had a better ending, much like the miniature killer, this kid with daddy issues wasn't very scary at all and the conclusion felt very much forced. When they shot Nick, I figured it was him going, that the actor had enough and wanted out, but once he was fine in the hospital, and it jumped to Langston with the prisoner, I couldn't believe he'd be the one dying. I'd assume he'd be back since they'd need another one to take the lead if he dies.

Rushed ending "I wanted to be a doctor daddy" whaaaaa!
Wish they would have spent a bit more time fleshing out the killer and made him a bit more elusive than a waiter / cook at a family restaurant
Where was the guard with the shock button at the end of the show... come on.. they drive this guy into town like Coming to America... and then he is just free to hang out after attacking a guard (I'm sure that is going to be the story the guard gives as a reason for shocking him). So I would think they would put 2 guards on duty from that point on.
I'm glad to hear that Fishburne is coming back

I'm actually surprised that Laurence Fishburne is only signed on for 1 additional year. This was only his 2nd season. Most actors who join TV shows as series regulars are usually signed on for 5-7 year contracts. But, I guess he wants to keep his options open including his film career.

How badass would it have been if it were Grissom as "Dr. Jekyll"?
I mean yes, it would have spit in the face of every fan of the show with such a huge betrayal, but what an ending it would turn out to be! The ultimate career burnout. I have to admit there was a tiny part of me that was hoping for that kind of twist to this whole thing.

I've given up on CSI having any masterful twist with these season long storylines.

Ray getting stabbed would have been a nice surprise if they had shown the guy breaking his glasses as a series of quick flashbacks as he was stabbing Ray. The way it played out though, it was no surprise when he attacked Ray.

Liz Vassey (Wendy) will not be returning next season. Her contract was not renewed. They had so many missed opportunities with Wendy and never gave her a shot to be a CSI. Instead they keep around Jorja for practically an entire season.
The show drastically needs some overhaul and some fresh blood both creatively and cast-wise.

Saw this episode last week. Other than Ray getting stabbed at the end, it was a pretty meh season finale. The payoff for the Jekyll storyline sucked...Really some waiter/cook in a family restaurant with Daddy issues??

at least this means the end of the ridiculous subplot of someone as hot as her going for that old nerd lab dude.

I guess it's time to wipe CSI season pass.
Spoiler:
Maybe this will give her a chance to pop up on another show where she might actually get the screen time she deserves.

I agree, Liz was wasted on this show. Even when they bumped her up to series regular, they never gave her anything substantial to do other than stare at a microscope and of course those ridiculous Wendy-Hodges fantasy sequences.

Vassey aside, Jorja should have stayed gone. Sidle's character has run its course. I assume this means she'll be a series regular again next season.
