Re: CBS Fall 2010-2011 Schedule

Blue Bloods sounds great. Love Tom Selleck.

Wow! Survivor on Wednesdays! I'm sure it will still get great numbers.

Hawaii 5-0 vs Castle....that should be interesting. Will definitely try 5-0 for O'Loughlin and Kim.

Glad the Tuesday lineup is remaining the same. Love The Good Wife.

I'll have to see a trailer for Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell's new show The Defenders to get a better assessment of it.

Really? This is like a broken record with you every year. I know your only 20-something and you prefer younger CW-type shows, but Geez do you have to be such a negative Nancy.

Do you have to be such a Positive Polly? Forums need polarizing opinions otherwise they become a fanbois circle jerk.

I never even gave it a thought that I only watch one half hour sitcom (BBT) on CBS. It's the dullest collection of shows on any major network and I bet, I am one of the older people on this forum.

You gave up on The Good Wife? That is probably IMO one of the best new dramas of this past season.

You forgot 3 Rivers, but that show was DOA once it hit air.

Nothing against O'Loughlin, but I don't know why CBS has such a hard on for the guy. I wish they would have spent a little more time casting Steve McGarrett and not automatically choose a guy who has been in 2 failed shows.

Re: CBS Fall 2010-2011 Schedule

For all the TV I watch, I don't watch a heck of a lot on CBS. Although I do watch The Good Wife, How I Met Your Mother, Amazing Race, Undercover Boss, and C.S.I. (although I just DVR that show and only watch them over summer/winter breaks).

I'll try all the new shows, at least for an episode or 2.

That first season of Joe was a huge success on NBC, IIRC. And after checking Wiki, it looks like it went on for 4 seasons.

Looks like they avoided a sophomore slump by filming season 2 before the first one aired. Undercover Boss might have done the same thing.

I did. I have such limited time for television (even giving up cable and catching show on the internet when I have time - I'm always behind!) that I seem to be give up on shows easily. So it's safe to say that I should pick TGW back up over the summer (i'm always behind on my shows anyway)? Now that Lost is gone, I'll be down a show in viewings.

Re: CBS Fall 2010-2011 Schedule

I just couldn't get into Undercover Boss. Saw 2 episodes (Waste Management and 7-11) and it's probably one of the most blatantly scripted reality shows ever. I was shocked to see how great it did Sunday nights. I'm puzzled how the hell they are going to pull off multiple seasons of it.

I believe it will be re-airing over the summer, so yes definitely give it a go again.

I enjoyed most of the ones that aired, but I am not sure how long I'll stick with it. I can't imagine it maintaining interest for long. It got duller towards the end of the season.

Not sure how I feel about BBT moving to Thursdays. It also makes for some DVR conflicts.

After 10 years, Survivor on Wednesday just doesn't seem right. It won't feel the same watching it knowing the next day is only Thursday instead of Friday :-(

You're confusing Average Joe and Joe Schmo. Average Joe was a "beauty and the geek" matchmaking show on NBC. Joe Schmo was on Spike TV and involved fooling a guy he was part of a reality show.

I know, that's the show I'm talking about. The beauty was led to believe that she would be on a show choosing from hunks only to find out they were all schlubs. That only works once, however they filmed season 2 before the first was aired so they could milk more out of it.

Survivor on Wednesday, that is going to take some getting use to. Now I'll only watch Supernatural on Thursdays.

Re: CBS Fall 2010-2011 Schedule

As I go through the videos...

Bleep My Dad Says: I'll check out the pilot, but that will probably be it.

Blue Bloods: Again, I'll watch the pilot and see if I like it, but I doubt it will become a regular.

The Defenders: Pass.

Hawaii 5-0: Looks great, can't wait for it. I loved Moonlight (I'm still upset about its cancelation), and this looks fantastic. It will definitely become a regular show.

Mike and Molly: Pass.

So with CBS I'll have "Hawaii 5-0", The Big Bang Theory", "The Mentalist", and possibly "Blue Bloods" this fall. Not bad.

You mean Average Joe on NBC, but you're thinking Joe Schmoe on Spike which also got a second season.

Anyone else getting annoyed that we have to watch a commercial to watch a commercial? Why would I possibly need to watch a Sprint commercial in order to watch a CBS show commercial?!

Didn't have any interest in Hawaii 5-0 until I watched that preview.

Grace Park in a bikini? Sold!
