The reason why it didn't work was that they put that message out to all the 5th Column in the medical unit so that they wouldn't take the letter.

But everyone else agreed to it. I don't think that has been "activated" yet.

Re: "V" -- Season Finale -- "Red Sky" -- 05/18/10
I really like this show, and have from the start; with each episode it gets better and the finale definitely ended season one on a high note.
But just because I like the show doesn't mean I don't notice the obvious plot holes, inconsistencies, and contrivances. I mean, didn't it occur to anyone that having Hobbes (FBI's Most Wanted) and Erika (FBI Agent) appearing in public together isn't the best idea? And if that other Priest is a V, it seems pretty obvious that Jack and all the people that stayed are probably 5th Column or disposed to forming a resistance.
All that aside though, when I ignore some of these problems, the show is quite enjoyable.
I really like the way they handled Hobbes' storyline. I think that in the penultimate episode he wasn't seriously contemplating working for the Vs, but just using what he had to gain more information. The twist that he has been working for them, unknowingly, all along was great. Obviously there is someone he cares about and they are going to use them to make him continue working for them. So I really don't think his betrayal will be voluntary and that will make for a more compelling story.
Glad to see Chad and Lisa joining the 5th Column for real now. I figured Chad knew Anna wasn't being completely honest about her motivations and suspected she had sinister motivations, but I guess not. I loved Lisa's smile at the end, quite the reversal.
Anna's meltdown caught me completely off guard. A very interesting development.
I'm so glad Joshua isn't dead...he is definitely one of the highlights of the show.
Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here with Ryan, the Red Sky, and all of the aforementioned twists, developments, and revelations.

[QUOTE=Flave;10168919]I thought the red sky was because the Vs are finally moving ahead with their takeover plan and the first step in that plan is to convert the Earth to their environment -- to "V-form" the planet. I suspect their home planet has a red sky (orbits a red giant star?).
QUOTE]
Maybe, but would converting it to red have any value other than nostalgia? Obviously, the V's have no trouble breathing our blue sky.

just caught the season finale... not sure where they go from here?
Also, there are so many plot stories, its hard to keep up... i almost wish they would have canceled the series... now im only interested to see where they go from here... all out war or "oh dont mind the red sky, we still mean peace"
on the flipside.. Anna has a nice parting for her tits? oh and anna's daughter didnt have panty lines... you know what that means?

If you were settling on a new planet, one with a red sky, and you had the power and technology to transform the planet to an Earth-like environment, what is one of the first things you would do?

If they left their world because it was dying, I probably wouldn't transform one that isn't dying.

I am guessing if this show was canceled, the whole red sky ending would have been open to some interpretation. While it's obvious it serves some purpose for next season, one could have argued that it was Anna's way of saying "Fuck it," and bringing about the total destruction of Earth (I think the armada of ships was behind the cloud cover). Vs win, end of series.
I wonder if one of the human emotions Vs can develop is the ability to covet power? If so, that would be a neat twist for Lisa, that she wanted to bring about her mother's downfall to claim leadership for herself.

So we saw the baby hybrid has a tail which must mean the Vs all have tails. So where are they hiding them? Under their fake skin? We saw Lisa in her undies and I don't remember anything poking out the back. Maybe they lose their tails or cut them off? Would it grow back in that case?

I think it's concealed under their fake skin and they just manage to control them. Maybe Lisa will be making out with Tyler and hers will pop out and that's how he finds out the truth.

Totally!
Morenna from Firefly: Hot
Morenna from V: fugly
Maybe she's doing it on purpose, but every time she's on screen in V, I just wanna punch her in the face.

Maybe they figured viewers are more likely to dislike her if she looks corporate and businesslike. If she had her old hairstyle the male viewers would be wanting mother-daughter makeouts with Anna and Lisa.
